I’m always pretty surprised when folks post photos of their practice space, tools and/or altars online for all to see! You know how much other workers can mess that stuff up?! Also, some of the invisibles might get offended at being disrespected like that. Though it depends on the spirit really, since some view it as helping others to know the paths even exist.
Personally I just put up old photos from 10-20 years ago ;). I fortunately had a real camera (well NikonD50 DSLR real at least) back then, so the photos aren’t too bad today. Then there are some occasions where taking any photos at all is very much against the beings present there, and they can get quite pissed off, or make sure your camera or video equipment doesn’t work again after that. I guess ghost hunting in the cemetery selfies are out ;).
One thing I have found some teachers to do, and I have taken up that idea a few times, is to take away the secret or power items before the photo is taken, then put them back afterwards. When I take photos of products, I always make sure that they are not quite finished, or often nowhere near finished when I take the photo. I also do so before any blessings or consecration etc. is done on them.
Once in awhile a spirit or talisman might want to be shown off and in that case an agreement would be made. Do you take and post photos of your working space or tools ever? Has it ever gone badly afterwards? Many feel that sacred items should remain sacred and hidden and that they lose power otherwise.

Fire, Memory, and the Cat Who Waits
A somewhat poetic introduction
I am Sam Diellor Luani. Translator, interpreter, copywriter, writer, artist, and the mythopoet of my hearth.
I live in a house that I might be forced to leave anytime, yet still I light the wood stove.
Still I feed Leo, my cat and companion, who prefers his beef barbecued.
Still I archive his gestures, his yawns, his presence.
My project SDL InnerSpace is a poetic archive of fire, feline expression, and human continuity.
I work with writing, computer graphics and photography. I document the rituals that make a home:
the crackle of firewood, seething food on the wood stove, the silence between gestures.
I just love to lose myself in the philosophy of presence.
In fringe science—as a metaphor for the soul.
In speculative fiction—as a way to rewrite the real.
In magical thinking—as a form of resistance.
My website is coming up soon, any day, but meanwhile you can find some of my works here:

We all three created Black Moon Water and *with permission* gathered graveyard dirt.
I will use this very sparingly but would welcome suggestions on potential uses!
Perhaps: anointing thresholds, sealing protection into corners, pouring a few drops into bathwater, or to water new plants so they grow with memory?
For now, it waits, heavy with the night it was born under.

Explore Derbyshire’s prehistoric stone circles with Ramapani. A meditative pilgrimage into ancient ritual, sacred geography, and spiritual connection.
Stone Circles and Buddhist Meditation
Stone circles evoke wholeness, unity, and the cyclical nature of existence resonating deeply with Buddhist meditation.
To sit within one is to enter a space shaped by intention and time. The stones may be silent, but they are not empty. They hold memory, myth, and the quiet presence of those who came before.
