During the last two weeks, I have been cutting an assortment of fabric, fleece interfacing and sewing (almost nonstop). I have repurposed vintage quilts, vintage embroidery and fun cotton fabric I purchased because I love those fabrics. Truly large vintage buttons are now repurposed ❤️ So these bags have a long evolving story. These bags are not finished yet!!! Previously, I posted the iPad and mini iPad bags with vintage blue embroidered cars. Initially, my plan was to ONLY create those bags. But NO, then I decided to continue on that creative path and create more iPad bags -- EXCEPT, I got carried away cutting vintage and new materials. The result? 47 more iPad and mini iPad bags (+20 car iPad bags = 67) I thought I was done, but then after having breakfast with my dear friend Amy of @pinkatticcat and her mom Paulette -- we discussed how much more practical it would be to add straps to these bags. WE Brainstormed🤣 So, now I am waiting on several shipments . Starting with a grommet press (makes installing large grommets much more efficiently than hammering them on), grommets, heavy weight cotton webbing (assorted colors) AND the hardware to make removable and adjustable cross body straps. I know this will be a worthwhile addition making these bags more versatile, but now stressing a little about making straps and adding grommets to 67 bags🙃in time for @oldhousevintagemarket in Loveland August 25th & 26th. I will continue to post an assortment of these bags 💼 which remain "in progress". #handmade #coloradomade #vintagequilt #vintagelinens #vintageembroidery #vintageembroideredlinen #vintagerepurposed #ipadbag #miniipad #vintagebuttons #oneofakind #oldhousevintagemarket #aparisstreetmarket2017 #inprogres #creativejourney
