The Pointed Caps 💐 This series has been such a source of comfort for me in an increasingly turbulent and uncertain world. It confronts the dark side of humanity while reminding us of the good that exists in all of us. It’s beautiful in both art and message 🌷 I know I already have a WHA tapestry design, but I’ve had this idea in mind for a while, so I hope you’ll enjoy this one too. I ordered the sample, and with luck it’ll arrive in the next few weeks 🌸

First time modeling lolita! I modeled for Millefleur back in 2019!

Produced during the Mughal Empire (1526-1858), this carpet features a late millefleur design defined by an abundance of floral motifs. In the late examples of this design, flowers became stylized and lost their naturalistic appearance. The dark blue ground in this carpet also indicates a later creation date. This carpet could have been made in Northern India, in Kashmir in the 18th century; where the millefleur design had been developing since the time of Shāh Jahān. Or it could have been produced in Kirman, Iran where Indian millefleur exports and Persian artistic traditions influenced the design. In either place of production, the quality of the design and the weave density indicate that this carpet was a high-end luxury product.
