【ぶらり京都旅3】

京都旅の最後、お客様にガイドしてもらって訪ねましたのは東福寺頭塔 光明院さんです。

こちらは石庭が非常に魅力的で、お庭の様々な角度から拝見することができます。広縁に座ってくつろいだり、お抹茶をいただいたりと、のんびり過ごせるところは今の京都では少ないのではないでしょうか。

また現在、日本画家の丹羽優太さんが3年住み込みで制作した襖絵が公開されています。独自の妖怪がユーモラス＆絵肌が素敵でした！

私もいつかこういう趣深い場所で展示できるといいなぁなんて思いつつ、京都を後にしたのでした。

…というブログを書きつつ、なぜか今日もまた関西にいたり…関西に一拠点必要かも😅

【Kyoto Wanderings 3】

For the final stop on our Kyoto journey, guided by our guests, we visited Tofukuji Temple's head temple, Komyo-in.

Its rock garden is exceptionally charming, offering views from various angles. Sitting on the wide veranda to relax or enjoying matcha tea, it's a rare place in Kyoto today where you can spend time so leisurely.

Also currently on display are fusuma paintings created by Japanese painter Yuta Niwa during his three-year residency. His unique yokai were humorous, and the texture of the paintings was wonderful!

I left Kyoto thinking how nice it would be to exhibit in such a profoundly charming place someday.
