It seems like this is a fun thing in this fandom? So, I thought I'd try with what I'm calling the Mess AU, which is eventual Buddie with a lot of Mess along the way (and set back after the shooting) in an AU where Bobby's actions directly before the shooting had some actual repercussions for him.
“Hey, I said quit it,” Eddie barked, moving forward with the intent of pulling Buck and Bobby apart, if necessary, as the two of them stumbled around with each other, bumping into his kitchen table and knocking over a chair.
But whatever had gotten into them had clearly blocked out any ability to listen to him. And he drew up short before getting between them, because he had one good arm and– “Hey!” He snapped, when they went into a wall, knocking a picture of his abuela onto the ground, shattering glass everywhere. “Hey, stop it!”
They ignored him, too busy beating the hell out of each other, and he ground his teeth together, frustration and anger bubbling up and–
“You know what?” he said, to no one, turning his back on them as they kept right on making a mess of his house and themselves. “Fine. You both asked for this.”
And he pulled his phone out of his pocket, punched in a familiar number, and pressed it up against his ear. “Yeah,” he said, viciously satisfied when he recognized Maddie’s voice on the other end of the line for 9-1-1; time to make her day just as weird as his. “I need some help. My friend and our boss are trying to kill each other in my kitchen."

I've been hyperfixating on your Mess AU... specifically the Villains. And I have two options for how Ayri's timeline wound up in that universe.
Option 1: Zelda and Link killed her dad, so she killed them. She is now The Huntress and possibly wandering the timeline seeking the other Links to take them out too. Does the Villain Chain know that? Probably not, but they'll find out.
Option 2: Link broke the "never fall in love with the enemy" rule. He realizes something is up because how is this woman the bad guy? Like- yes she can punt him, but really, that just makes her prettier. (He's hopelessly in love, help him XD)
Idk what are your thoughts on this? It's interesting to play with because normally, Ayri's Link already is the bad guy (or just a plain old Idiot, yes that becomes his moniker).
It'd also be fun to do option 1 but Link is still alive so when he meets normal Ayri, she's confused because he's terrified of her for some reason. Also Ayri meeting the Hero Ganons and being like "... You're all cool? What is happening-"
Idk if anyone's asked but I really wanna know about the Villain Chain
Just *grabby hands* Details, please
HI SOFTIE IT'S BEEN A WHILE!!!!!
As for the Villain Chain? They're from my "Mess" au! My idea was that Hylia or Martinet in this au was a bit more unhinged compared to Demise! Demise was focused on the darkness and keeping balance and Martinet just wanted constant light and peace, even if she had to force it onto everyone.
That's when the heroes come in! When, enforcers more like. They';re convinced early on their adventures that they are in fact the true heroes destined to keep Hyrule's peace (forced under a tyrannical rule that will have people killed if refused to conform to her standards) while the Ganons and Ganondorfs of the era are sent out by Demise to fix the balance!
Okay I did another thing except this time it’s from @cloudninetonine mess au which I highly recommend you check out!
I sorta had an idea when I was thinking about it, but when I actually started writing it just all went away. So yeah sorry if it sucks-
If [Name] is going to be completely honest, they weren’t expecting this outcome as they sat with Nat. Currently the both of them are sitting together; enjoying a variety of fruits on a plate, as they observe the big man interacting with the other Ganon’s in the group. A small thought appeared in [color hair] as they chewed on a grape, ‘If Sky was here he would be losing his shit over them.’
As if knowing he was mentioned, the flame hair colored man perked up to look at the two who sat away from the rest. He had a huge figure, the same fiery red hair as his other incarnations, but looking closer it’s as if his hair was actually fire. The only difference is his body compared to the others.
If a regular person were to take a quick glance they would think nothing of it, except when you look closer you can see the dark scales with a hint of red covering his body. The red in between the scales looks to be dimming out, as if to match his breathing. Looking up at his face the first thing you would see is the ‘X’ scar right in the middle of his forehead. The face and build of a man who has seen war, and has lived through it himself. The mix of a humanoid man, but also something that is inhuman.
No wonder, throughout history many have called him the Demon King.
But as [Name] watched the man walk over to them, the aura that radiated around him was not one of a god who brought hate and fear into the lives of many. Instead it was one of hesitance and unsure on whether it was alright for him to approach; he stares at the duo as if asking for their permission to get closer. In sync [Name] and Nat turn their heads to look at each other and squint their eyes, in a silent conversation. Nat looks up at the man before hesitantly nodding meanwhile [Name] grabbed at a strawberry to snack on.
Demise, the all mighty, the one who cursed the Chosen Hero and Hylia’s incarnation in an infinite cycle of hatred. Carefully lowered himself on the grassy ground before the two friends, and carefully observed them, not once uttering a single word. From behind the strange group, stood a man carefully eyeing them, a sense of wanting to be near them, but he didn’t act on it as he walked away.
Nature, one of the incarnations of the man before him, has no clue on how to feel about the man that sits in front of him. The other Ganon’s seemed a bit standoffish at first to him, but appeared to slowly warm up as they continued their adventure. Especially King and Eve, who looked to hang onto every word that Demise says. Nat always knew what he had to do to keep everything in order for the world to function, and knew that during his time there was someone that guided him. To put it simply, it’s just a bit awkward to finally meet the person who helped you, after a long time.
[Name] knows all about Demise; his purpose and what he has done. As well as the importance of the balance that he brings to the world, if spending long agonizing hours to days on the concept of righteousness and the evil and torment of the world counts as understanding. Yet as they stare at Demise and notice how he struggles to speak to them, that throws away all negative stereotypes that had built up from the years of lore they’ve read. He kind of looks like a father who has no idea on how to communicate with his child instead just sits there and believes that they’re spending time together.
It was a moment of awkward silence between the three of them, [Name] and Nat still enjoying the fruits, until it was surprisingly broken by Demise. “I have been told that you are not connected with any of my descendants, that you merely happened to come across in their travels.”
A natural side eye occurred as he glanced at the Master Sword that is sheathed beside [Name]; that did not go unnoticed by them. There was a faint pulse of a blue glow when his eyes landed on the weapon. Maintaining eye contact with the Demon King as they spoke up without hesitance in their voice, “I’m no hero, if that’s what you’re wondering about.”
“Yet you hold the sword that was forged by Hylia herself, and was wielded by her Chosen Hero.” He responded with a calm tone; although his facial features say a different tale he made no move to do anything. Tide who had been listening in on the conversation subtly shifted to be closer, in case he needed to intervene.
Shuffling in their seat at the question that was directed towards them, “That is true, I’m aware that you have history with this sword, but it is currently in my care. I also have no affiliation to those people.” Demise huffs slightly at that response before sitting up more; glancing down at them as if he is trying to appear more menacing. It was at this moment did [Name] finally realize who they were talking to, silently cursing under their breath.
“Tell me young one, what exactly are your motives? You must have some connection towards the Goddess.”
[Name] blinks a couple times before speaking, “None- I actually don’t know why I ended up here, but all I can say is that I’m grateful for everyone here. I owe them a lot.”
Now that caught Demise’s attention as he leaned a bit forward, “Is that so? Would you care to-”
“Alright! I think that’s enough on interrogating my friend,” Nat replied as he slightly shoved Demise away from [Name], and began leaning into them more which reminded them of when Wind would also do the same whenever they didn’t want to explain something.
Tide, who was watching everything, smiled softly at Nature’s protective action. Yes, they’ve all grown fond of the little traveler. Swearing with all the power that they hold that they would keep [Name] safe, and help them return back to their original group. Slowly did that topic of conversation change amongst them, and now they appear to be in deep conversation about a certain topic.
One that has [Name] talking animatedly about and with Demise listening intently. Nat, who began sharing the platter of assortment of fruit, also spoke up a couple of times. Tide, feeling the need to no longer worry, returned his gaze to the one person, who appeared to yearn on joining. No matter how much he tries to hide it.
The man sat in front of Tide with a neutral expression on his face. Shockingly white hair covers one of his eyes as he stares intently into the open flame without flinching away from the light. His red cloak lays neatly folded beside him, before looking up at the man who has been nothing but kind to him.
“Ghirahim, you do realize that you have the right to speak to him, correct?”
Ghirahim looks up in a slight daze, his visible eye appearing hazy for a moment before closing and shaking head. A smirk lifts on his painted lips and a facade of mischief covers his face. “I’m well aware of what I can and cannot do, such a foolish question.”
Although that doesn’t discourage the older figure from trying to bring comfort. It’s the least he can do for the companion of his predecessor, the one who’s been there since the beginning, but he was also the one who has been disconnected from Demise the longest.
The yans went through the same hero experience as the OG’s, right? That means Paladin knows what it’s like to be obsessed over because of Cia.
Imagine if he were to just be- just be normal Warriors, except he VERY CLEARLY recognizes the behavior of the rest and is like a spy for Player.
Basically normal Warriors but he’s super stressed and sleep deprived from worry and probably anxiety driven.
Probably not what he’s actually like but it’d be funny (and incredibly upsetting if we’re being real-)
The yans are the OG Chain but older and yandere yes! So Paladin knows exactly who Cia is- and is rightly terrified of her!
Honestly my idea for Paladin anyway is that he has a constant internal struggle with being yandere because he knows it's wrong but he just wants Player so much! I love this idea tho! Constantly fighting the corruption that tries to take over him while also trying to help Player escape this nightmare situation.
What would be worse if Player trusts him the worst but he has to remind them that they can't trust him- he's the most likely to stab them in the back after all.

Hey hey hey cloud. Idk if this has been done yet, and it might come by as a bit unhinged bc I’m trying to type this down asap before the croaking frog of forbidden wisdom yanks it from my head, BUT please consider the following for the mess au:
The OG, Villains and Yandere are actually two whole timelines that stems from them losing their guide™️. Or even just one whole timeline. Like they go from villains to yandere in that one timeline, and in the other they accept the yandere tendencies. Either way, I think it’s interesting to think about their descent into madness, especially if the shadow also had something to do with it.
And then my other idea: all 3 timelines meeting. their traumatized guide is this close 👌🏽 to throwing themselves into a volcano.
Please do with this as you will. I love your work. 💞
I'm a sucker of a hero falling into tragedy and becoming a villain in fanfics (For some reason in media it doesn't hit me as well?) like yes, stink stink, lose your absolutely marbles and destroy everything in your path <33333
The OGs falling into madness and just deciding to become the villains in hopes that they'll get their Guide back by causing the most chaos! Their obsessive nature slowly shifting to yandere tendencies alongside their villainess is just chef's kiss.
Also all 3 timelines meeting? Bloodbath, simple as.
(I like to think now that we know Player has slate powers that the sheikah eye crackles with blue lightning).
Had to rewrite this a few times because my brain was like “mm but how about we add this here and a little of that here” until it was finally satisfied with the drawing.
AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA BB COMING BACK WITH THE AMAZING ARTWORK!!!
Player's definitely feral, they're ready to kill any and all that get in their way of escape and Fi doesn't have a choice of whose head they're taking!!! :D
I was wondering if you can tell me about the mess au gaaons please sadly there's not a lot of Gannon on here so I want to know more about the mess au Gannon's like how how do they feel about be yandere for the reader and how they feel about the reader beIN a victim to the link's. And not only that how did they feel about the reader beIN so sick like will their reactions and emotions when they are taking care of her. If that's okay with you.
Ganon doesn't seemed to be played around with in Linked Universe other than mentions and such (unless there's fanfics, I don't read as much as I used to) is there, anon? I love writing for the Dadons and creating personalities based on their potential hero selves.
Tide (Vil! Wind's Ganon) fills the most pity about it all. Player's so young, so afraid and they had to go through so much at the hands of the (not one, but two) Chains. Tide would lowkey becomes their therapist in an attempt to help bring back their old self. Also, sick Player? Tide is definitely attentive grandad, he's got them sleeping in his lap while feeding and hydrating them.
Nature (Vil! Wild's Ganon) also feels a large amount of pity for Player, but instead of taking the therapist route he helps them try to overcome the horrors of their past and he does that by dragging them to his crazy stunts- a crazy older brother if you will. When it comes to sick Player he's usually incorporating health potions into his food in hopes it helps them out.
Eve (Vil! Twilight's Ganon) is a little more interested in what exactly the two Chains want them for. He understands the villains, after all what they're destined isn't exactly favorable so he's not surprised they're looking for ways around their deaths but the yanderes? Why obsess? Player seems pretty average to him? (Player 💀💀) but he's there to listen to their vents if need be. He's also the one more knowledgeable about illnesses so he's a second hand on taking care of Player
Famine (Vil! Hyrule's Ganon) felt more anger towards himself that his Link (Conquest) was able to cause such everlasting damage to such a stubborn but kind person- Famine believed he should have done more to stop Conquest. Should have found another way to prevent something he had no idea would happen and thus becomes fiercely protective of Player from that fact. when Player's sick he's a little panicked because with his age he's become pretty rough so he worries he'd only cause Player more harm, but he comes to relax and help them out :))
Oracle (Vil! Legend's Ganon) similar to Famine believes that Player's trauma is a result of his own negligence when taking care of his Link (Myth) but also understands that while he may feel this way it's not his fault- after all he had no idea this would happen, how could have he? But he confides in Player about his own problems and apologies and Player is definitely the one who ends up comforting him (he's a little insecure about it all). With sick Player, he makes sure to keep them comfortable and is probably the one to clean up the messes they may make.
Soldier/Solly (Vil! Warriors' Ganon) would straight up tell Player that he's happy to kill them all if they would feel safer that way, he's especially keen on this after seeing Player's trauma in their everyday routine. He's disappointed that he wasn't able to stop such catastrophes from happening but he's happy to amend them- keeping that happy go lucky uncle persona for Player the entire time. Solly becomes more serious around sick Player but he's happy to keep them entertained, talking calmer compared to his usual boisterous voice.
Betzalel (Vil! Four's Ganon) is constipated so he doesn't know to express sympathy without it sounding like scrutiny about how they should have either killed them all in their sleep, manipulated them back, etc, etc. his original purpose was to be to stop the cycle by ending Hylia and the reincarnated Hero so he's a bit confused on what he should say- so instead he would just know Player that he's there for them with a slight pat to their head. He's the type to stand awkwardly around a sick Player and has to be instructed on what to do.
King (Vil! Time's Ganon) is also constipated like Betzalel but unlike his predecessor he would be the type to interrupt and give his two cents "Why didn't you choke them?" "Poison would have done the job." "How could you allow such disrespect-" Until he realises Player's tearing up then apologise (he's angry that he wasn't able to stop the cycle in his first reincarnation (As Betzalel), meeting the others and finding out he himself couldn't stop it either and as a result he's become more bitter, especially with his added perfectionism) He'd offer to teach them how to better themself for combat alongside Solly, but doesn't treat them like a doll- in fact he's harsher especially because they're physically and mentally weaker than him so they have to work more for it. Once again, awkward around sick Player but his perfectionism forces him to become a know it all until Tide threatens to beat him with Ghirahim.
Pestilence (Vil! Koridai's Ganon) is a bit of a loon, he likes to speak in rhyme and tries to metaphoricalise almost everything he says, but Player can understand that he's telling them that none of what they went through is there fault and that they're safe now. He's more interested on making sure they heal and learn to cope with everything they've had to go through. He takes care of sick Player very well, probably recites some of his poems to them to help them sleep.
Power (Vil! Courage's Ganon) is a bit of an arsehole and similar to King in his aspect of scrutinizing their every word, decision, etc. when it came to the Chains then acts surprised when Player gets angry/upset over it. Though he's quick to say how they still got out even after all their failures and in this roundabout way they realise that he's actually praising them on actually getting away from such a horrible situation (and bro will not apologise that shit isn't in his vocabulary) If he sees sick Player he gags, if they're brought near him he will in fact scream but at the end of the day he still holds them like a baby while they sleep off their illness because they're one of his favourite servants (as yes he does call them that 💀💀💀)
