Medbay scene!!!!!
MEDBAY SCENEEEE
AAAAAAAaaaa!!!!!
Medbay. The sterile white lights buzz overhead. Obi-Wan lies on the cot, shoulder bandaged, face pale, eyes heavy with pain. Anakin paces nearby, arms crossed, fury radiating off him like heat from a lightsaber crystal. A tray clatters as he slams it down too hard. Obi-Wan groans.
Anakin (snapping):
âI told you not to go alone.â
Obi-Wan (tired):
âAnd I told you it wasnât your mission.â
Anakin (whipping around):
âIt became my mission the second they dragged you in half-dead with a huge cut on your side!â
Obi-Wan (through gritted teeth):
âI handled it.â
Anakin (furious):
âYou almost died, Obi-Wan!â
âYou didnât handle anything!â
Obi-Wan (raising his voice despite the pain):
âIâm still breathing, arenât I?!â
Anakin (voice sharp):
âBarely!â
A beat of silence. Anakinâs chest heaves. Obi-Wan closes his eyes, jaw clenched, trying to regain composure.
Obi-Wan (quiet, but firm):
âYouâre smothering me, Anakin.â
Anakin (bitter):
âForgive me for caring.â
Obi-Wan (snapping, suddenly):
âCaring isnât the problemâitâs your obsession with control!â
âHovering like Iâll disappear if you look away for a secondââ
Anakin (cutting in):
âBecause you might!â
That stuns them both into silence. Obi-Wan stares. Anakinâs face hardens, but his voice lowers.
Anakin:
âYou keep throwing yourself into every fire like itâs your duty to burn. You donât let me help. You donât let me breathe.â
Obi-Wan (softly, but bitterly):
âYouâre not my keeper.â
Anakin (stepping closer):
âYour keeper?! Force- Obi-Wan! No. Iâm the one left behind to watch them carry you out on a stretcher. Again.â
Obi-Wan (pained and exasperated):
âI didnât ask for this, Anakin. I didnât ask for your grief or your anger. I asked you to trust me.â
Anakin (voice low, strained):
âI do. But I donât trust the galaxy not to take you from me.â
Obi-Wan looks away, jaw tight, refusing to let the weight of those words pull him under. Anakin exhales, rubbing his face, then sits heavily at the edge of the cot.
Anakin:
âIâm terrified... Master."
Obi-Wan (finally, voice cracking with weariness):
âThen learn to live with it. The same way Iâve had to live with losing you⊠every time you ignore orders, or run off, orââ [his voice breaks, softer] ââor fly through fire without thinking.â
Silence. Just their breathing. The hum of bacta monitors. Neither willing to apologize. Both hurting.
Anakin (quietly):
âI didnât come here to fight.â
Obi-Wan:
âThen stop acting like Iâm your battlefield.â
Anakin (eyes narrowing):
Oh? And what happens next time? Or the time after that? Do I just sit by the comm, waiting for them to tell me you're dead?â
Obi-Wan (bitterly):
âIf it spares you the same fate, yes.â
Anakin (growling):
âKriff it! Youâre so damn stubbornââ
Obi-Wan (sharply):
âAnd you are reckless, impulsive, and so consumed by your feelings you canât see past them!â
They stare at each other. Breathing hard. Words hanging in the air like blaster fire that never quite landed.
Anakin (softer now, voice thick):
âI would burn this whole kriffing galaxy down if it meant keeping you alive.â
Obi-Wan (closing his eyes, head tilting back against the wall):
âAnd I would rather die than see you lose yourself to it.â
Anakin (barely a whisper):
âBut youâre all I have left.â
A long silence. Obi-Wan opens his eyes again. The fight drains out of him like air from a cracked hull.
Obi-Wan (quiet):
âYouâre not. You never were. You just... made yourself believe that.â
Anakin (stepping closer):
âThen tell me. Tell me to go. Tell me you wish to be rid of me. Right now Obi-Wan. Look into my eyes. Say it like you mean it. Say it, and Iâll leave.â
Obi-Wan (looks up, eyes shiningâtears forming, through pain):
â⊠Anakin please ...â
Anakin (voice trembling):
âThen stop pushing me away.â
Obi-Wan exhales shakily. His hand reaches outânot to grab, just to anchor. Anakin takes it gently, sits beside the cot.
Obi-Wan (barely audible):
âBeing near you makes everything harder.â
Anakin (without missing a beat):
âBeing without you is impossible.â

"Red Alert almost forgot to check on Hot Shot at the medbay. Don't worry everything is still fine!"
this is just an alternate aftermath referenced to a TFA episode where Hot Shot got his left leg broken while Red alert ran in to help in this battlefield. Just as to make it more of a horrific plot twist :^
Ratchet no⊠youâre too icy⊠your shit is too authentic⊠you have too many bitches⊠you smoke too tuff⊠theyâll kill you
Well, well, well. . .
Turns out, all it took was one and a half days of the sounds of Wookiees joyfully growling out "A Day to Celebrate" for one of the navigators to admit he had stolen my mix tape and would give it back if I just "promise to make it stop".
Obviously, I was super miffed and ready to knock some Life Day cheer into him, when he reminded me that Life Day is, in fact, a season of love and forgiveness, so I shouldn't send him to medbay over some music.
First of all, how dare he use the spirit of MY OWN FAVORITE HOLIDAY against me on MY OWN SHIP!?
Second of all. . . he was right, dammit.
I got my tape back (with the promise that I wait at least two weeks before playing it again), we hugged it out (at my insistence), and all is well.
He'd better hope I don't draw his name for this year's Secret Santa gift exchange, though.
