Humans are cats but what if Cybertronians are dogs?
Im going crazy over how big of an impact human can make on a bot. Despite humans so much short lived compared to them, they formed a bond that could last forever.
A self indulge hc of mine: human's bond with their alien robot buddies have an effect on the spark as well, leaving a permanent print on it if the bond goes deep. Their bot buddy want to sparkbond, but that's physically impossible, so a part of the cyb's spark would always look out and yearn for their human buddy.
So whenever their human bud is around or is found somewhere, could be from a distant or they hear their voice- the spark goes "OMG OMG LITTLE AMICA/CONJUX IS HERE, THEY'RE HERE THEY'RE HERE THEY'RE HERE <33333"
You would have to get used to being randomly picked up or snatched, and seeing your robot friend in their alt-mode appearing outside your front yard.
If some bots are weird or unhinged enough, they'd lick your face idk.
Considering humans are a lot smaller and more fragile, cybs tend to get protective over their charges. Is like scary dog privilege, your personal bodyguard. Being able to trust someone so big and dangerous to not hurt you, the dream.
A bit territorial/possessive over their human. I think their equivalent of barking is aggressively loud honking toward eachother. Get a leash or something if your cyb have rabies.
Megatron: fleshie, just because I tolerate you a little more than the other, doesn't mean I will give you special treatment-

Cybertronians, despite being non-organic in origin, do in fact have to shed their bulky outer armor every now and then. Old plates get brittle or otherwise damaged over time, and while rather energon consuming to regrow, sometimes it just has to happen, especially if rust or other nasty stuff has gotten into it. The missing plates regrow in relatively short order and the shedding only occurs after sufficient damage it taken or once every few vorns or so. Sometimes, the plates can even be removed by a medic with a quick visit if they are loose enough. The only problem with this? Everyone experiences something a little different.
Poor Ratchet suffers from what amounts to alien chickenpox. In order to get all his old armor off, he claws at it like there's no tomorrow. He will die before being caught trying to drag himself along the ground or rubbing himself up against various textured surfaces to get old armor off, but it has happened. It still happens when he's pretty sure he's alone. Optimus was there to watch Ratchet roll around on the Archive carpet many times.
Arcee is lucky in that all her old armor tends to drop within a few hours, but without it, she can't regulate her internal temperature very well. To compensate, she practically turns into a space heater as her systems kick into overdrive. The kids can't touch her without getting burned and the team are left yelping whenever she touches them when they aren't prepared for it.
Bulkhead is forced to endure losing his plates agonizingly slowly. He'll lose a plate, a new one will grow in. He's in a near never ending state of shedding. And so, much to Miko's horror, he'll just lose pieces sometimes. He's not all that concerned since the shedding, while continuous, is so slow. But the humans? It still startles them to hear an ominous THUNK out of nowhere and see a chunk of metal on the ground.
Ultra Magnus, much to his chagrin, turns into a beacon every time he sheds. His already vibrant colors come in even brighter as new armor grows into place. And so for a few weeks, he looks like an exotic fruit of neon blue, bright red, and blinding silver. Sunglasses are required.
Wheeljack likes to say he never sheds, but when he does, he recharges like the DEAD. Growing in new armor is very biologically taxing, and rather than suffering from other side effects, Wheeljack just takes a really long nap. He'll recharge for days at a time, getting up only to raid the fridge and then pass back out again until his armor is back where it should be. The humans have no clue he sheds armor because of this. But Bulkhead knows. He's been the one paying for Wheeljack's shed time groceries since before the war.
Smokescreen has only shed a handful of times, and all those times he was usually instructed to keep out of the way since he was in danger of being skewered without his armor. So now, whenever he sheds, despite experiencing no negative side effects, he instinctually goes to hide somewhere dark and safe until his armor grows back in. This has led to several incidents of someone screaming like a little girl as a spindly Smokescreen capitalizes on his status to scare people whenever they turn on the lights.
Bumblebee doesn't necessarily suffer whenever he sheds old armor, but he's just uncomfortable to look at. The scout tends to look like a plucked chicken whenever he loses his armor, and due to the weight shift when he losses so much mass, he hunches over oddly. In total, he looks a bit ghoulish and it actually hurts the team to witness, so usually he's given a few days off to get himself in order.
Optimus is in a similar boat to Ultra Magnus and Bumblebee on the rare occasion he sheds old armor. He always gives Ratchet a scare by going entirely grey about a week before the shed actually begins. He loses any and all color in affected areas and then proceeds to lose exactly all his armor within a few hours. Then he's left looking like a gangly half grown youngling due to the length of his arms and legs compared to the rest of his body. Megatron never ceases to mock him whenever it happens, but when Optimus's armor comes back in, his shoulders always come in bigger and sharper than before, a fact Megatron despises.
Considering how little screen time the two have together, fanfic writers have a lot of ideas for how it might occur.
Mine involves something perhaps a bit softer:
Everyone knows Vortex is quite the sadist. In the original cartoon, he used a specialized attack with his rotors to make his enemies dizzy.
This has been expanded upon to include “advanced interrogation” skills. His delight in violence has been expanded into a sadomasochistic streak.
But for how terrifying and unhinged Vortex is, he has one weakness.
Vortex is terrified of being stuck in the dark.
Yes this is canon in the Aligned continuity and the Fall of Cybertron video game. It is an extension of his fear of sensory deprivation, perhaps stemming from the time Megatron had the Combaticons removed from their frame and put in spark prison for their attempt to overthrow Megatron.
His fear is so bad he won’t even use anesthetics, which perhaps is why gained the reputation of also being a masochist.
Now imagine the Combaticons getting caught up in a natural disaster of some kind while on duty (or perhaps they inflict said natural disaster). Vortex gets caught in a landslide and is stuck deep underground.
The Protectobots came to the area (perhaps a hurricane is ongoing and they helping to evacuate the human civilians).
First Aid, after getting some humans out, also gets stuck underground. His comms don’t work but he senses a spark signature.
In a really deep place, First Aid gets tackled.
The medic is scared at first only to find a shivering, terrified Vortex curled around him, the heli’s helm tucked close to the medic’s spark.
And so for hours, First Aid gently soothes and speaks to the frightened Decepticon while treating him as best as he could.
When they finally get out thanks to the other Protectobots, Vortex leaves.
He leaves longing for that warm presence in the dark that did not mock him, but whispered words of care and encouragement.
He leaves those touches soft and gentle rather than rough and careless on a body already in dull pain, previously the only sensation tethering the soldier to reality.
He leaves with the image of a light peaking through the earthen ceiling onto First-Aid as the two were finally dug out.

If the species is non human, I can never just write regular smut of them. It's always gotta be some bullshit. God cursed me with aegosexuality, which means that my interest in sex comes from sitting in the cuck chair, and then he combined it with my love of biology and making fictional species.
Detailed Cybertronian Sex Ed
I made a drawing of it a while ago so you can look at this for visuals. Gonna change Percy's spike design, idk what I was thinking.
Valveplug
Valveplug is the most common form of interfacing. It involves the spike and the valve.
Interface Arrays
Interface arrays are the specific arrays located at the pelvis that hold the materials required for sexual interfacing. Cybertronians are hermaphrodites, meaning that they all have both external and internal sexual organs (like snails). While humans assign gender based on biological sex, Cybertronians have a much looser view when it comes to gender since it can only be seen in the processor (smthn about femmes having a processor similar to Solus Prime because they are descended from her). It also makes transitioning gender easier because there isn't much needed to change on the outside.
When the interface materials are not in use, they are covered by panels known as "interface panels," "spike panels," or "valve panels." The panels can either open upwards or sideways (like doors at a grocery store), it depends on the Cybertronian. Cybertronians can open their panels at will, though sexual stimulation may cause them to open automatically. The valve gaining lubricant, sometimes from sexual arousal but not always, doesn't usually mean that the panel will open, but the spike nudging against the panels (again, a lot of the times from arousal but not always) will cause the panels to automatically open. When the panels are closed, the spike retracts into a space called "the spike orifice." When the spike is in its orifice, all sensory nodes are shut off, and the Cybertronian isn't able to feel anything while it's in there. Panels can be open to reveal just the valve, though both the valve and the spike will show when the panels are fully open.
Made-to-order Cybertronians (MTOs) are very often built without interface panels. If they wish, they are able to get interface panels installed by medics. Sometimes, empurata procedures would remove the interface array altogether.
Outer Mesh
The outer mesh of a Cybertronians interface array is similar to cesium, though it is much more durable than actual cesium and won't melt at room temperatures. While soft and flexible for Cybertronians, the material is considered hard (not in the sexy way, the "this is just actual metal" way) for humans and other organics. Still, the mesh around the valve is some of the softest on the frame, only rivaled by the plating on the face.
Spikes
Spikes are the external sexual organ that Cybertronians have. It's similar to a human penis though there are some differences (and not just with the size, obv). Spikes, being made of metal obviously, are much firmer than the average human penis. They're also a more diverseity than the average human penis, with different shapes and biologhts, and colors that depend on the frame, alt mode, or region.
Unlike humans, spikes don't also attach to their urethra (or waste tanks/waste orifice here. Cybertronians poop and pee through the same hole, like a bird. Don't think about it too much).
The spike is covered in sensitive nodes with the main nodes being at the tip and less-sensitve nodes being located everywhere else. At the head of the spike is a small (small for them, large for us) slit where lubricant comes out from arousal or an overload.
Erections usually from sexual arousal, but not always, basic stuff taught in sex ed classes if they were actually good. I'm bringing this up because when a Cybertronian gets an erection, it's not from blood (they don't have that) but rather an electric charge going to their spike. Generally advised for spike-in-valve interfacing.
Overloading through the Spike
For those who don't know or who haven't figured it out; overloading is the Cybertronian term/equivalent of an orgasm.
Cybertronians don't ejaculate sperm as sparklings (baby Cybertronians) aren't made from valveplug interfacing (they're made from sparkmerging, which has only a 30% chance of success when making a new spark. The chances increase depending on the number of bots present). Instead, it's just excess lubricant that comes out. Ik a lot of people make this lubricant energon, but that just seems like a waste of energon time me and Cybertronians are shown to be able to cry and produce lubricant, so it just being regular lubricant makes sense to me.
Valves
Valves, sometimes refered to as the interface valve bcuz valve can refer to multiple different holes in the frame, are the internal sex organs that Cybertronians have and is located under the spike and overload node. The overload node is a spot on the interface frame connected to the valve and is one of the most erogenous zones related to the valve.
Valves function similar to a human vagina but, being that they're giant alien robots, there are differences. For one, Cybertronians have much smaller labias compared to their body size. They also lack a clitoral hood (I guess overload node hood in this case) since their panels already protect the overload node from external factors.
The opening of the valve is simply called "the valve entrance." Most of the erogenous nodes can be found on the inside of the valve, with the most erogenous being the overload node. Most of these erogenous zones are attached to calipers located inside of the valve, which are meant to easily grip onto the spike when engaging in valveplug. Valves have a bit more erogonous zones than the human vagina though, like humans, the most sensitive one is the overload node.
When a cybertronian is sexually excited, the valve produces lubricant. It's the same kind that the spike releases when overloading. Overloading through the valve creates an excess of lubricant that comes out of the valve.
Valves don't have as much diversity as spikes. The main difference about them tends to be the biolights. Most interface arrays have biolights. Biolights serve no purpose other than to indicate arousal. It's very common for them to light up fully during an overload.
Random Note (or notes depending on if I come back to edit this more)
It's possible to overload from both the valve and the spike at the same time, though that often results in overstimulation
Cybertronians ended up developing interface arrays purely for social bonding purposes
Refractory periods
Humans with penises have longer refractory periods, while humans with vaginas are sometimes capable of having shorter refractory periods and orgasming multiple times in a short amount of time. Cybertronian refractory periods are more about cooling down overheated systems. Once the systems are cooled down, the refactory period is over. This lasts about 5-15 minutes, depending on the bot.
Sparkmerging
Sparkmerging is when two or more Cybertronians touch their sparks together. The act doesn't always have to be sexual, but it can be. This is different from sparkbonding. Sparkbonding is when two Cybertronians show their sparks to each other and is often a ritual shown in amica endura rituals. Sparkmerging is actually touching the sparks together. This is usually done with bots that have very close bonds or with romantic partners. The touching of sparks can create an intense feeling between the two bots as memories and feelings of the other are mingled together, and it can sometimes result in an overload, this time coming from the spark instead of from the interface array. Some bots put this in the overstimulation category since the feeling of life forces interacting, feeling your and other's memories ten-fold, and then overloading can be too much.
Thx for reading this far if you did! Thought I'd have more on sparkmerging, but there honestly isn't much I could think to say.
Also check out my headcanon explanation if u want to...
i feel like in a world without sexes or reproductive organs, humanoid genders would be equal to, in very simple and brief terms, a cybertronians alt mode or class. Especially when their functionist social norms were at a high, it would probably be taboo to change your class.
Specifically for kobd:
Knock Out: seeker jet -> speedster car frame
Breakdown: speedster (kinda) -> hauler (which im actually pretty sure is canon in some way to the aligned continuity family)
It's the same approach to a GNC concept. Transgender individuals who don't feel as if they belong to their sex group = cybertronians who also don't feel as if they belong to their alt classification.
Earth most likely properly introduced the whole concept of gender to the nemesis crew and team prime. I adore thinking about them trying out queer identities in the amidst of war.
Anyway thanks for listening to me yap. I'm trying to flesh out cybertron lore for my upcoming knock out-centric fanfic :)
