Ok so uhhhh random SFAWTDE/DAWTDE/Wifies MCLive ARG theory
I think Lang is the writer of the book that D3rlord3 read in part 1
This theory is honestly just base out of a strong feeling and a few dialogs in Epsilon's logs, please bare with me
-------------First Log- Father Abraham----------------
In this log, Epsilon Interview the priest, Abraham about 'house 13', near the end of the Interview, this is their dialog:
Father Abraham- "have you spoken to Lang?"
Father Abraham- "Don't expect much"
Epsilon- "I won't, thank you for your time, father"
Idk why but it makes it feel like Lang is the observant one in the village, at the same time tho, not an easy guy to talk to
-------------------Third Log- Lang----------------------
Fast forward to the Interview with Lang himself, it feels like he is quite disconected from the rest of the villagers, the cold way that he awnsers to Epsilon's questions kinda gives that away (at least for me):
Epsilon- "are you saying father did this himself?"
Lang- "i don't know what he gets up to now, If he felt it apropriate to build a house out of nowhere, i have no doubt he could do it"
And let's not forget! In the same Interview, he says later that he used to have access to the library, why did he lost this access? Well, Lang dosen't say, but I strongly believe he left on his own acords
Lang to Epsilon- "before you were initiated, i used to have access to the library, Abraham and I both"
Epsilon- "why did you lose access to the library?"
Lang- "It's none of your business.."
And on Father Abraham's Interview, he says that only him and Tarim (one of Abel's caretakers) have access to the library now, maybe Tarim is Lang's replacement? Still thinking on that
Actually, talking about leaving, it's hinted on the book that the writer left the village before/during the arrival of the king in yellow
If Lang is actually the writer like i think he is, i don't doubt he could've used a spell to help himself, he does know a lot of those and how they work after all:
Lang- "the spells in the library are more then sufficient"
Lang- "i have seen what the spells are like and i have no doubt that this is their work"
-----------------------Main proof------------------------
Now, this is the scene that made me think way too much about this theory, near the end of the Interview, Lang asks Epsilon to leave his house for a second:
Epsilon- "but you don't know any 'Ianias'?"
Lang- "no, but let me check something.. get out of my house"
Lang- "could you step outside for a second?"
Lang- "i'll explain later"
We then hear Epsilon leaving the house and a bit after, Lang returns with his journal, which has the only registrer that Ianias was a real member of the village
My point is: there was a secret passageway in the writer's house, the one under the slab on the floor that D3rlord found, i belive that this is the reason that Lang told Epsilon to leave his house, so that he could grab his journal without the investigator prying further
Lang is for sure an interesting character, at least for me, I really have this feeling that he is the writer of the book and I just had to talk about it, sorry if my theory or just the whole this seems unorgnized, i was quite hesitant and shy about posting this cuz.. actually idk why i felt scared to post it lol 🤔
Still, these are just my thoughts!
