Starless Sky

This AU is primarily based on two implications in the main story, and one headcanon. The implications that Abel managed to escape merging with the king, and that Epsilon fled the cult after the kings arrival. The headcanon being that Abraham also managed to escape as well.

Essentially, Abraham flees and tries to live a normal life in isolation, haunted by the fact that he killed his followers & he’s a big reason for their deaths. Epsilon tries to do the same; and actually manages it well, unlike Abraham.

Abel, on the other hand, wants a sort of revenge. His brother is dead, he almost died, and he’s so deeply traumatized that he can’t live normally in the slightest. So he goes on a mission to find Abraham and demand answers. After several years of non stop looking, and finding epsilon and requesting his help to find Abraham (Epsilon gives him some information but refuses to join him), Abel finds Abraham.

…What happens to Abraham is a secret!

Cult I:

Genesis cult. The cult we see in part one. A more modern cult who is attempting to summon the king through usage of Minecraft.

The ones who got the farthest, to the point of the king actually having a vessel and being summoned, and able to go into the real world, but unfortunately the spell was repeated and canceled by the vessel Abel before the king was able to fully fuse with him.

Cult Il:

Reign of the Brute. The cult Avery travels to ‘first’, with the stone buildings and giant stairs. This is a kingdom ruled by a mad dictator king who lives in luxury while the rest of his people live in agony. He wants to summon the king to gain intinite knowledge for himself and therefore infinite power.

Unfortunately for him, he was clever but not smart in the slightest, and his bull

headedness caused him to not even be able to

BEGIN the summoning.

Cult III:

The purveyors. A curious group of bullheaded egotistical intellectuals, the purveyors live in the red plains world in the White House's. They are 100% dedicated to the pursuit of knowledge, but unfortunately none of them wanted to be the vessel, so they all arguesd and destroyed each other eventually. Although they always hated each other on the down low anyway, so even if they had a vessel it was never gon work.

There are ten purveyors, one for each house, and they are as follows:

-the purveyor of literature

-the purveyor of mathematics

-the purveyor of the occult

-the purveyor of architecture

-the purveyor of fine art

-the purveyor of metaphysics

-the purveyor of philosophy

-the purveyor of physics

-the purveyor of astronomy

And finally, their ‘leader’:

-the purveyor of anthropology.

Cult IV:

The village of yellow. This is the tiny village that the king chases Avery through, and It's unfair to call this a cult, really. They're just a village that happens to believe themselves blessed by the king, like any other place that believes themselves blessed by a god. They follow what they believe is the kings "values" and are very religious, with church bells and everything, but they aren't really trying to summon the king as much as they're trying to actually worship the guy like a god.

Ok these next cults are diving directly into headcaon atp:

Cult V:

the towering peaks and lush valleys. A sect of mountain dwelling monks who, again, are pursuing true, pure knowledge. Their vessel is actually their leader, for the first time ever. I'd say definitely clothes wise & culture probably based on Buddhist monks. Less of a cult more of a lifestyle, though they've sort of become cult like and are toeing that line more and more as the days go by.

This is based on the very first world Avery travels to, the mountains with the bridges and the giant tree. Admittedly though, there’s very little evidence for a cult living in this world.

Cult VI:

Ruins. This was a cult crushed under its own weight. Once part of a massive civilization, these cultists - like many cultists do - hid away from society to attempt to go through with their plans to summon the king.

Besides the Genesis cult, this was the second cult that got the closest to actually succeeding. Unfortunately for them, as the kings arrival got closer, so did the infighting among the higher ups in the cult.

This is based on the desert world with the obelisk., and again, there’s very little evidence for a cult here.

Ok total speculation/ headcanon here:

Cult VII:

Lost city. This cult, in their many attempts to summon the king, tried to stay with their area when a massive flood rocked their costal civilization. Later, people dug out a cavern of sorts in the mountain above the floodground, using what the previous cultists had managed to save to continue their work.

This is actually the giant cavern thing Derlord and Avery find themselves in with the puzzle with the valuable blocks and shulkers.

Cult VIII:

Sunflowers. They believe the king is sort of like a sun they can continually look to. So their entire thing is essentially traveling.

There are sunflower members in every previous cult mentioned, regardless of if they were actually in the sunflower cult and are instead just descendants.

This isn’t based on any world.
