it is my firm belief that Mel King should be allowed to break up any marriage she wants. she deserves it. or to variously benefit from the dissolution of said marriages. i think she should be allowed to fuck severely, maybe fall in love, whatever should suit her fancy. Frank Langdon in particular does not deserve her (because nobody does, this has nothing to do with him struggling with addiction and everything to do with him being a dickhead), and this is why they're so compelling to me.
she is kind of like Wilson to me in that i think she is a little bit evil. main difference being that she doesn't shown this way on screen, which my personal hc is because she has been uninclined to. i'm also bigly against infantilizing takes on her, bc i have Good Doctor trauma, so i err hard on the side of her being capable of very messy and very adult and very selfish things.
