“I watched an episode of Sonic Boom last night, the sound was off but I think I got the gist of it.

In the meantime, I'm discovering that I might be really capable as a homeless person.

The largest open secret in any industry and office job is that everyone is just winging it, all the way up  from the workers to the CEOs; work is something for living, life is not meant to be spend working, people with lots of worked hours will get enough experience to get used and bored of everything, even a world scale crisis becomes boring after a couple of times, so the just start winging it harder than a Mc Donalds employee and playing along with the annoying people instead of proving them wrong like a fresh grad, know the office dick, they are useful but keep some distance, just be nice and mind your own business.   The key difference between a good worker and the bad worker is that the good ones keep record of whatever shit they decide mickey mouse under the rug and an ever more detailed record of their own fuck ups; the mickey moused stuff is covered in glitter and sold to the bosses as a solution for a problem (often pinpointing someone elses similar fuck up), while the hard fuck-ups are solved discretely in silence, often, after shitttalking the customer into either believing that it's not a problem or (more often) giving them a nice excuse so it can wash its own hands in front of his brass in the event that the fuck up is discovered and can do the sell-a-solution thing; an ass saved customer will sweet talk about you if your boss enquires, mix that with the Mr. problem solver bullshit from before and your boss will love you as youre giving him more chances to keep winging it, keep in mind that what youre giving him is *time* and time is king, time never comes back, that’s why improving processes is more important than hardworking on career jobs, this also includes improving how you behave, no one likes to spend 5-8 hours a day with a self reivindicating timebomb.   imagination and theorization is important if you use it to improve the activities that waste more time instead of lollygaging, you can be artsy in your free time.    Despite of what the green ones like to think, your boss KNOWS, they will know if you fucked up but will not say shit if you seem to be working on solving it; they know when you use other persons as ladder, if they dont say a thing they are allowing you to get where they need your habilities and will fucking landlock you there for alll eternity; they know if you’re exaggerating a drama, but they will allow it because while your’e in character you’ll spill the beans about other motivations you may have hidden... they also know when they are underpaying you, so keep an eye for a switch between extra tasks of a same nature and a shitload of tasks which require a different skillset, if you manage to get the new skills right that’s the time to bite back
