Sapphic September 2020 – Day 28: Pumpkin

Thoughts: This moodboard was meant to include a full fic with it, but I'm no longer inspired to write it. However, I figured that it's never too late to share the moodboard that I created for the fic idea. And who knows, maybe someday someone will be inspired to write the fic so I don't have to!
My favorite Hannibal rarepair is Molly and Reba (known as McFoster), and my favorite headcanon for them is that they meet for the first time after Will’s and Hannibal’s disappearance post-s03. They bond over having fallen in love with murderous men without their knowledge (Will and Francis Dolarhyde), and also being some of the only people in the world who understand what the other experienced. They fall in love slowly over time, helping each other heal and to learn how to live semi-normally again. They take their relationship very slow, and Reba doesn’t push Wally in any way to accept her as a parental figure or important person in his life. This ironically helps Wally accept her presence in his mom’s life faster, and he ends up liking her a lot more than he did Will and also really appreciating how much she’s helped his mom heal. Molly and Reba also take care of the dogs together. Whether Molly keeps and continues to take care of all of Will’s dogs; keeps only some of them; or rehomes all or most of them because they remind her of Will and the trauma she experienced during her relationship with him (and because of him) is up to the writer. Any of these combinations work, but I imagine Molly having some dogs regardless of how many of Will’s dogs specifically she keeps. This specific fic idea is super simple: it's a huge helping of domestic fluff. Molly and Reba assist Wally with pumpkin carving and then toast pumpkin seeds and bake pumpkin muffins with the leftover pumpkin together. In the late afternoon, they get into Halloween costumes (bonus points if they're wearing family and/or couple's costumes — I picture Reba in a vampire costume as a nod to her actor Rutina Wesley's role in True Blood, and Molly as a werewolf, because who doesn't love a good "forbidden romance" between a vampire and a werewolf?) and go trick-or-treating (bonus points if the dogs also have their own Halloween costumes!) That's all there is to it: just some tooth-rotting fluff!
But tbh, you can create anything inspired by this idea and/or the moodboard; it doesn’t have to follow what I was thinking. Also, anyone is free to create for this idea if they want to, regardless if someone else has already done so or not. (It's free real estate, babeyyy.) All I ask is 1) don’t repost my moodboard anywhere, and 2) please include a link to my moodboard with your creation!
