☆fornight of exams 1/14
~trying desperately to romanticise the most stressful time of the the season
~9 hours straight of a module i still don't quite understand
~measure theory exam tomorrow; just looking forward more to a celebratory bubble tea afterwards more than anything

I can't believe i finally get to say this but I'm done with this degree. It took forever but I was able to overcome my self doubts (at least until I sat across from my professors during the exams) and actually understand concepts and learn and apply all these mathematical constructs I always believed I was simply too stupid or disadvantaged for. I still believe that studying English instead of maths as a second subject will always be a disadvantage, but now I know that it's not enough to stop me.
I can't wait to start documenting my master's journey (you'll actually see stuff from English courses on this blog then!) and see how I can apply what I've learned about myself and how I study best during an active semester.
Now I go into a well-deserved summer break. For the first time in ages I don't have an exam (or multiple ones) looming in front of me. I'm free.
I hope all of you get to rest soon as well. Wishing you luck!
Going to be taking part in an "advanced algebraic geometry" course at the other local uni in a few weeks; it's supposed to cover schemes and sheaves (sheaf cohomology of complex varieties etc) and eventually culminate in an introduction to the Grothendieck-Hirzebruch-Riemann-Roch theorem, I am so excited for it

Me and my love for maths is like an enemies to lovers story waiting to be written down on paper
"log" in Hindi and mathematics are so similar, you input a certain value but what you get is always less than what you give
45 days until finals*
Today I:
Studied chemistry - solved exercises and revised the main reactions in organic chemistry
Solved one chemistry test sheet - let's say that the 40% I managed to get right does not satisfy me at all after months/years of studying
Started solving a math test sheet
Threw out old sheet notes that I'm never going to use again
*I apparently can't count lol
