Like… You see Clint and Natasha being SHIELD agents, Triskelion, Avengers/SHIELD merger, Chitauri, Hulk's origin, Sam Wilson in military, Steve's powers with the serum being more superhuman than peak human… So things that are literally taken from Ultimates, not 616. So from the same Ultimates, where Bucky has ALWAYS, since the early 2000s (years before MCU), been in Steve's age and his childhood friend… And you still think Bucky is based on 616 even though he has NOTHING in common with Bucky from 616? Almost everything about Captain America is based on Ultimates, but not Bucky…?

I realy don't care if someone doesn't like Stucky and that's it, but I hate it when someone tries to justify themselves with fictional moral superiority that DOESN'T MATTER, because MCU Bucky was NEVER based on the pre retcon Bucky.

It's a bit late to talk about this, but I sometimes think about May Parker.More precisely, May from universe 1610, where Miles originally came from, the ultimate universe.

Anyone who's seen Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse knows that the Peter Parker from Miles' universe died, but what many don't know is that, in the comics, May had adopted Johnny (Human torch), Bobby (iceman), Gwen, and (Unofficially) Kitty (Shadowcat) way before that.

And except for Gwen, everyone ended up fleeing because (thanks to that version of Magneto and the death of Xavier and Cyclops/Scott) the mutants gradually lost their rights (and Johnny was an ally).

Imagine being May Parker and you lost your nephew, and not long after, most of the others too, because of a country that hates them.Everything you know about them now is from media coverage showing them fighting and leading one of the largest groups for mutant rights.

Imagine being May Parker and you discover that Johnny was not only captured, but when he escaped he had very clear signs of brutal torture.That even though Kitty and Bobby achieved some success, mutants can only stay in one area unless they want to lose their powers, and it could take years for you to be together again.

And all this with the Green Goblin on the loose, and even when Miles and Peter defeat him, several people she knew died because of him (Harry, Jameson, Flash).

I finally sat down to read the essay by @sineala – The Queer Coding of Tony Stark and it reminded me I've wanted to share this extract from a Marvel tie in novel for a while!

At times he imported Jarvis to work there, when he knew he wasn't going to get home for long stretches, Jarvis had a tray of martinis waiting for Tony and Fury when they came out of the elevator into Tony's study. "General Fury," Jarvis purred. 'Your company is far too rare a pleasure, sir."

Swiping his glass from the tray, Tony rolled his eyes. "For God's sake, Jarvis. What are you trying to do here? General Fury has closed-minded and brutish superiors! Haven't you heard of don't ask, don't tell?"

"Don't ask," Jarvis shot back. "And General, you're under no obligation to tell." With that, he left through the kitchen door.

"You didn't take your drink, Nick," Tony observed.

"Spare me," Fury said.

Now it was Tony's turn to roll his eyes. As he did it, he thought, my God, sometimes I come across just like Jarvis.

As if he'd read Tony's mind, Fury quirked a smile and said, "Not that there's anything wrong with that."

"Go to hell, General Fury," Tony said with a grin. "Now, what was it you wanted to talk about again?
