For the local Salt Lake City geek scene the next few weeks will be busy ones. Not only are we getting some amazing movies coming to the big screen but we're having some hugely impacting events happen in the DC and Marvel universes. Add to that the fact that TV is coming up on sweeps, and print media is pumping out a ton of new and exciting content and geeks should want for nothing. In Utah we have so many conventions coming up it's hard to keep track.

The Con season starts next weekend with the gaming convention SaltCON. Just 3 short weeks later the follow up to the widely successful and first ever Salt Lake Comic Convention Fan-X begins. How do we all find the time? How do any of us get the most bang for our buck? I can't tell you what comic books to buy but I can help you know what I think are worth taking a look at each and every week. That's especially helpful in weeks where publisher literally dump a truck load of books onto the market (like they did this week). So, with that in mind, onto my favorite covers in comics this week!

Geoff shut himself away from the world that is for the world he’d rather be in. The moment when all of the background slipped away to the track on his headphones was the first thing he looked forward to every day. The world of music gave him life where he thought there wasn’t any. All anyone did was make demands of him. He was going to do things with his life when he was ready. It’s not like he was just drifting, he had his music and was looking for a job. Well, he’d made a LinkedIn profile and a Monster account. He was good at thing and no one understood that. He would work his butt off but no one really got him. They certainly didn’t respect him enough to reward him for his hard work.
