Valiant Beyond: Tales of the Shadowman
In the city of New Orleans, where magic is encoded into the very buildings, a detective is at work hunting down a dangerous serial killer. And along the way, she'll learn about a mysterious figure from the shadow side of New Orleans: the figure known only as the Shadowman.
There's a lot of cool ideas introduced here. From the monkey mayor to the werewolf cop to the magical division of the NOPD, we get a lot of sense for what's normal in this world by what's unremarkable to the characters. And the art is truly wonderful, a twisted, grim view of the monsters that dwell in the dark.
The story is... eh. It's whatever, leading into something greater. There's more in the sequel but I wasn't interested. There's a vibe to this that certain people will absolutely love; fans of The Nightmare Before Christmas, Johnny the Homicidal Maniac or German expressionism will find something to love here, but I did not, so I tap out here.

imo megaman 3 revamped didn't really 'fix' this fight's rng he always jumps high which allows you to slide under him consistently but the attack he chooses is still random I would've made the first attack after he jumps out of a slide random, and if he chose the blades, he would be guarranteed to slide next
