"Happy Valentine's Day, my love," Peggy said. "I love you so much. I'm so grateful to be able to finally spend this holiday with you."
Steve smiled, pulling his wife into his arms. "Happy Valentine's day, my love. Another first for us. I'm very excited." He leaned in and captured her lips. It was another day he'd never thought he'd get with her, and another he would cherish now he had it. He had lots of plans.
Nélia did not feel like she was good at giving people gifts. Mostly because she was usually working on Christmas, and she hated her parents so she wasn't really able to give gifts. She always did her best with her siblings, but it usually consisted of her taking them out of the house so they didn't have to be around the dangers that came with being at home. So for Bucky and Clint, she tried to think of something they'd like. She rushed over to the two men at the Holiday party and silently held out two boxes. Merry Christmas, she signed. Inside Clint's was a purple mug with candy and a gift card to the nearest coffee shop. Inside Bucky's was an apron that made him look like Santa and a book to write his recipes in.

Both Bucky and Clint had decided early on that they wanted to get Nélia a Christmas gift. They knew she didn’t really have a lot of people to give her anything and she was special to them, so they wanted her to feel loved.
It had taken them a while to find the perfect thing, but in the end had found a necklace that’s chain closer around the front by threading an arrow through a star. They thought it would be a nice way for her to keep them with her.
When she ran up to them, both men beamed at her. “Merry Christmas!” Clint said, and kissed her cheek. “Wait a second. We got you something too.”
He fished around in his pockets, before pulling out the small box and trading her. “Let’s go sit and open them,” he suggested.
Bucky led them to the couches and sat, both of them sparring no more time opening their gifts. “Oh my god, this is great!” Clint said. “Can never have enough coffee.”
Bucky smiled and leaned over, kissing Nélia’s cheek. “Thank you,” he said softly.

music variation note: this almost always plays as background music that exists within the scene itself. The exception to this being in VII, where it begins as tavern background music while Gates and Dufresne talk, and builds to become much grander, introducing the hurdy gurdy and more electric-sounding instrumentation as we cut back to Gates and Flint preparing for castoff.
I spent a year rewatching Black Sails and tracking all the bits of music that repeated at any point during the show, and my findings are reinforcing that Bear McCreary is a genius and this show should have been called 'parallels that will kill you over and over again'* (tag | chronological)
