Underworld Universe Expands with Mister Nemo
Mad Cave Studios has announced a new standalone entry in Mark London's Underworld Universe. Mister Nemo is written by London, illustrated by Alden Kaye, colored by Alex Sinclair and Fran Gamboa, and lettered by Pat Brosseau.
"A brilliant analyst uncovers a global conspiracy—and is immediately marked for disappearance—only to be rescued by the mysterious Nemo, a man waging a secret war from beneath the ocean. As they descend into a hidden world of covert power and impossible technology, one question remains: can they save the world before it even knows it’s in danger?" (Mad Cave Studios)

there's some sort of shill site at guaifenesin.org that's popping up in search results now. i hope ive made it clear on this blog but even when i say some sort of quack therapy like the "guaifenesin protocol" may have some clinical veracity, it always comes with a big fat disclaimer i should always make explicit, that wherever there is any sort of hard-to-treat chronic illness, there are going to be hundreds of predatory, deadly snake oil salesmen waiting to lie to you about it. most quack therapies are founded on research that is either bunk, or is not bunk but has been misinterpreted and then monetized harmfully. this is also the case with "guaifenesin protocol". you should avoid any discussion of taking guaifenesin to treat fibro/me-cfs that isnt ground floor peer-reviewed research, or--and this second type of writing should be regarded with extreme skepticism--stuff from people who are not making money from the situation and also are regarding the subject with extreme skepticism. including and especially MY BLOG. but Mark London the MIT guy is another good example, just in my personal opinion (my opinion being unreliable, im just some guy online, not trustworthy or credentialed), of someone who is skeptical and ambivalent enough about the topic to have his discussion of it worth reading if one is so inclined.
"Speed Racer: Tales From the Road" Announced at Mad Cave
Mad Cave has announced Speed Racer: Tales from the Road, a quarterly release featuring one-shots that will expand on the Speed Racer universe. The comic book series hails from writers Mark London and David Pepose, artist Sebastian Piriz, colorist Rex Lokus, and letterer Buddy Beaudoin.
In the first issue of Speed Racer: Tales from the Road: "When Interpol sends Racer X on a mission to take down a brutal warlord known only as the Viking, a deadly chase ignites across a shadowy European city. Packed with brutal hand-to-hand combat, turbocharged vehicular mayhem, and a haunting look at the choices that forge a man, this oversized one-shot dives deep into the past of the masked driver you think you know. Also featuring a Spritle and Chim-Chim backup story where they borrow the Mach 5 for the joyride of a lifetime!" (Mad Cave Studios)
