Did you know the original producer of Crash Bandicoot was the guy who created Marble Madness? He was on a 6 month paid staycation at the time.

In case you missed it, here's a clip from last week's Podcast! Featuring the totally real Mark Cerny himself, totally breaking into VGCC's offices. OOOOOOOO SHINY...
You wait and wait and then out of nowhere you get some news! Details are emerging online about the highly anticipated āPlaystation 5ā² orĀ āPS5ā² (both unofficial at this point)Ā and we want to talk about it! In an exclusive interview between āWiredā and Mark Cerny (Lead architect on the next gen console - why not... The man delivered the PS4 to the world in style), he dropped a few breadcrumbs thatāll feed the hunger of the unknown a little while longer. Sadly we wonāt be seeing it in 2019 however...
Yeah sad face. But enough of the negatives! Lets get to the good stuff. Firstly heās stated that the console will be backwards compatible! *peels selves off ceiling* and it WILL have a disc drive! (Us video game retailers can breathe a sigh relief and at least hope we still have jobs in a few years). Also thereās apparently a number of studios already working on titles for the next gen console so the wheels already seem to be turning...
The most exciting thing however is the potential power of the coming machine. To confirm what we mean weāve included an extract from the article below:
āTo demonstrate, Cerny fires up a PS4 Pro playing Spider-Man, a 2018 PS4 exclusive that he worked on alongside Insomniac Games. (Heās not just an systems architect; Cerny created arcade classic Marble Madness when he was all of 19 and was heavily involved with PlayStation and PS2 franchises like Crash Bandicoot, Spyro the Dragon, and Ratchet and Clank.) On the TV, Spidey stands in a small plaza. Cerny presses a button on the controller, initiating a fast-travel interstitial screen. When Spidey reappears in a totally different spot in Manhattan, 15 seconds have elapsed. Then Cerny does the same thing on a next-gen devkit connected to a different TV. (The devkit, an early ālow-speedā version, is concealed in a big silver tower, with no visible componentry.) What took 15 seconds now takes less than one: 0.8 seconds, to be exact.ā

So... Itāll be fast then. Like, FAST. Yeah I donāt think even FAST covers it. Weāre talking about the future!
Weāre not getting ahead of ourselves however and we know that this will be a painful wait after weāve been shown the very tip of the iceberg that is next-gen gaming. But this is a cause for celebration. Itās coming...
More from us as things surface but for now your PS4 is safe!

BREAKING: Next-Gen PlayStation details revealed
Donāt call it PS5. At least, not yet.
Hideo Kojima talked a bit about Death Stranding during the PlayStation Experience Welcome Celebration, stating that the underwater section seen in the latest trailer is actually playable. Mark Cerny (PS4 lead architect) also ensured that after 4 or 5 hours of gameplay, everything youāve seen in the trailer (which at the moment seems very puzzling) will start to make sense.
