It's always a good time when the little purple Dragon get into our lives! Or so I hope it is....
Did you know the original producer of Crash Bandicoot was the guy who created Marble Madness? He was on a 6 month paid staycation at the time.

āThe Mummy Returnsā
[GBC] [UK] [MAGAZINE, BANNER] [2001]
Based on the 2001 movie starring Brendan Frasier and Rachel Weisz, this version differs greatly from its console version. The main bulk of the game is side-scroller with stages where the player moves from right to left trying to escape a wall of water while avoiding enemies and pitfalls and even a scene recreating the valley escape in the blimp, but with the same elements. There are also one-on-one sword fighting stages where the player uses a sword to hack away at enemies that appear one at a time and even a first-person shooting stage that resembles Lethal Enforcers.
There are three different characters to choose from, Rick O'Connel, Evelyn O'Connel and Ardeth Bay that they can choose at the beginning of each stage, each with their own strengths and weaknesses and depending on which character they pick will determine which stage layout will be present (ex. Rick & Evelyn's water escape stage feature different traps and enemies they must avoid). ~MobyGames

Crash Bandicoot
Nowdays, itās easy to lump Crash Bandicoot into the pile of failed mascots that Bubsy, Aero the Acrobat, and Gex lie somewhere in. Itās to be expected with a franchise thatās been passed around from developer to developer, few of which seemed to know quite what to do with the character. It doesnāt help, either, that the series would end up in the hands of Activision, a company not exactly known for their willingness to experiment. Despite these setbacks, a fanbase for Crash still remains, and with a new generation taking their first look at the series through its PS4 remastering, perhaps thereās still hope weāll see a revival of the series. The original games shouldnāt be neglected, however, as theyāre not only greatly influential works that helped kickstart the 3D era, but are one of the few games that truly achieved their status as being āinteractive cartoonsā.

The Best Game of the Day is:
Spyro The Dragon
Genre: Platformer Platform: PlayStation Initial Release: 1998 Publisher: Sony Computer Entertainment Developer: Insomniac Games ESRB Rating: Everyone
Disruptor (PS!) November 30, 1996 - By Insomniac Games and Universal Interactive Studios - Set 1 - Screenshots taken using the ePSXe emulator
Hey there folks, hereās another classic first person shooter that Iād never heard of. Disruptor is Insomniac Gamesā first game and itās quite fun (It also looks great for a game that came out in 1996).
I also really like the weapon designs as well, theyāre all pretty cool. Thereās also live action FMV cutscenes in between the action too.
Iāve also decided what my next video series will be as soon as my Best of 2016 series is done. Iām going to showcase lesser known PS1 first person shooters (Like this game). There werenāt too many FPS released on the system but there were some pretty cool ones that Iāve been finding out.
Happy gaming folks! - Shaun Meyers (Kyo Akiara) out!
