In season 12, episode 6, "celebrating the life of Asia fox" The song "Man In The Box" by Alice In Chains plays. But, I feel like it would've been more humorous if played during season 14 during any scene with the malak box?

Dean Prays to Cas in the Ma’lak Box to Keep Him Company
Dean on Nov 3, 2021, in chuck’s alternative ending Dean’s sitting in reverence, with his eyes closed, when Sam walks in. This is shown immediately after Dean has prayed to Castiel in purgatory in the present timeline. Castiel isn’t dead. He’s in a Ma’lak box. Dean knew the terror of facing eternity alone in the dark. and Dean knows hopes that Cas can still hear his prayers.

Characters: Sam Winchester, Dean Winchester
Warnings: Angst, Malak Box
Word Count: 100
A/n: this is for @justagirlinafandomworld's #flash fiction challenge 4! my song is "Home" by Michael Bublé.
The Malak Box, that's what Dean's grand plan was: lock himself in the box and throw himself into the deepest part of the ocean, leaving Sam alone without him, trapping himself with Michael for an eternity.
Sam's fist flies through the air before he even realizes it, hitting his brother square in the jaw. Dean doesn't fight back, not really, instead engulfing his brother in a hug.
He'd meant what he'd said before: that Sam was the only person in the world who could talk him out of the plan, and he was already caving.
"Okay, Sam, let's go home."
Dean racing to martyr himself when something even remotely inconvenient happens
So like with all those posters in the cabin’s garage who else thinks Dean snagged one to hang up in the Ma’lak Box so he had something to look at.
And then when Donna calls asking after it he has to break it to her that it got blown to bits...
Only Dean removed it before putting Jack inside and it is now hanging in his room ;)

Dean has been a dick lately
Wow look at me facing truth. I am breaking out of denial. He had no right to do that to Jack
Real World Headcanon on the Ma’lak Box & Incantation Bowls
The Ancient Aramaic word for Angel is Mah’lach [Ma’lak in spn]
Aramaic was the language used at one point in history for legal documents, capable of counteracting and controlling demons (looking at you, Crowley). Some traditions of rituals, marriage contracts, and protective or defensive incantations from this time are still used today in modern Judaism. Shana Tova to all who observed on Thursday, the Kol Nidre is still recited in Aramaic on Yom Kippur, chanted to void vows made from one Yom Kippur to the next.
Aramaic was also used for incantation bowls, inscribed with a spiral of incantation text, some of which were buried upside down and used to trap demons.
Forgeries of the bowls have been found by anthropologists. About 10% of those found were in fake or incorrect Aramaic, indicating that sham counterfeits were sold to people trying to perform spells or protect themselves from demons.
That would have made a very interesting episode topic, TFW wrestling with the aftermath, demons escaping from shoddy spell work or people who mistakenly thought they were protected.
Angels were said to not be able to understand or communicate in Aramaic - which could make the lore very interesting on how Malak boxes work in spn and why one would be able to trap a maloch, an angel, in one.
Just how much did this show do on purpose and just ... not mention??!! Angels have always been controlled in spn by Enochian, a language they did understand. I don't believe the show ever brought up controlling them with Aramaic instead.
I'm here for the fic potential, Cas unable to read or draw in this language Sam and Dean can understand. Teasing him with it, or secretly planning a surprise party 🥳
I'm sure Cas would eventually figure it out and pretend not to know for Jack, I mean he and Dean would only be marginally better at keeping a party a secret than @doctorprofessorsong was planning a birthday surprise for @you-cant-spell-subtext-without. Happy Birthday bestie 😘

Fun implications:
Cas unable to read or draw in this language.
Does this work on Demons as well?
