How to make your Studying Routine
Ugh, exams... Here we go...
Step 1: Prepare in advance. Look at all your exams and tests coming up and prioritise your work. Which exam is the first? Which exam is in 2 days after that one? Do I have 2 exams on the same day? These are questions you need to ask yourself to prioritise your exams.
Step 2: Make a weekly or monthly schedule. Depending if you want to do a monthly or weekly schedule is up to you. Monthly schedules are usually made when you have a lot of things to do that month. (Basically a 2 in 1 calendar and schedule)
Step 3: List out everything that you already have to do on specific days. What time do your classes start and finish? What time do you have to go to Volleyball? When does your brother want to get lunch with you?
***** REMEBER TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF! Add in the times you need to wake up and sleep, remember to eat and reward yourself once in a while, you still have a social life*****
Step 4: Start with writing your times.
When I write a schedule this is how I plan my time. Take the time you usually wake up and subtract one hour, (e.g I wake up at 7, 7-1= 6 so the earliest time I write will be 6:00 a.m)
Why do this? Sometimes when I haven’t finished my work from last night I wake one hour earlier just so I can catch up with my work. I don’t like waking up earlier than an hour because I like my sleep. ^_^
Take the time that you go to sleep and add 2 hours (e.g 10 + 2= 12)
So I will go to sleep at 10 but if there’s anything that happens and I really need to finish my work I’ll use those 2 hours I gave myself. I never exceed the 2-hour mark because sleep is so important and I don’t want to ruin mine or your sleeping pattern. Also if you don’t finish everything in that 2 hour mark you still have the 1 hour from the next morning :P
After that just fill in all the activities that you have during the day.
Depending on how much time you have left in your day or to how long you want to study is up to you. Maybe you want to study 2 hours every day for one subject in one sit in or you want to split the study session into 4-30 minute sessions throughout your day that'll still equal to 2 hours. This is all up to you :P
Remeber! Sometimes we get carried away and are not able to complete our daily goals and that’s okay. Don’t beat yourself up and don’t push yourself too much.
