I used to post yoga related images quite often. Then, over time, I grew self conscious and doubtful of my posts. I compared my practice to the practice of others who posted on IG; my body, my stretchiness, my strength. I grew to believe that there wasn’t any space for me in the new age IG yoga community, and for two years I stunted and doubted my growth. Last week, I was reminded that I didn’t start yoga for the likes, the attention, the fit body, the aesthetically pleasing photos, or the popularity. I started yoga because it made my body feel good. It started yoga because of what it did for my mind and my heart. And I started sharing yoga and teaching because I wanted to inspire the growth and exploration of these very things. I am so thankful for reconnecting to this truth. To my truth. . Just a friendly reminder, do it for yourself. If you want it and it means something to you, then do it, and go full flex. I cannot solve a problem outside of me without first owning how it affects me inside. No solution can possibly exist while I am lost in the problem. . We are the cause of all our problems. I was mad when my boy Troy (Community) literally left the show by boarding a boat called "Childish Gambino" and began touring the world. And then he hit us with album after album of awesomeness. Yeah, I know he just released a new album...I just can't stop listening to this one. Is there anything this guy can't do?
