‘The arms of Adolin's tightened. “It’s been so lonely, Kal.” The weakness of Adolin’s voice pained Kaladin. “I’m surprised the pain hasn’t killed me.” Adolin raised himself from Kaladin’s chest and, from the dim light of the room, he could see Adolin’s outline above him. Hot wet droplets landed on Kaladin’s face. He reached up to cup Adolin’s face and wiped away the falling tears.
“Kaladin, if you didn’t want this– for us to be friends instead of lovers–I would still be honored to keep you in my life. My soul would be happy and content knowing it wasn’t alone anymore. I want to keep you in any way you’d allow me.”
Each of Adolin’s confessions was thorns to Kaladin’s flesh.

I often think about the headcanon that Kaladin, being the son of a surgeon, would be good at cleaning, since he needs to have everything ready for a possible surgery. So all I can think about is that I need a Kaladin-as-a-househusband fic... god give me strenght to write it AAA
