I think I heard it under doomed yaoi recs? def heard it before BF and i later saw an ig post with No.6 BF and another show (given, maybe?) in a BL trinity. i've not confirmed the information where the author cites BF as an inspiration.

3 episodes in. I'm pretty slumped it's only got 11 episodes. so I try to ration it, especially when it's supposed to be sad. It's quite good. It's the oldest show I've watched in the past 6 months and I'm surprised the animation holds up. It's Bones so that explains a lot. The two protagonists don't remind me as much as the Ash Eiji dynamic but Nezumi does have Ash vibes. I like Shion for a different reason than Eiji. I can relate to Shion as a scientist and his curiosity and sense of doing the "right" thing - that I'm not sure can call "justice".

I've seen poster but I try to keep myself as blind as possible, so I was caught off guard when the characters look different in the first episode. But the show did not stall on revealing the plot and they knew they spoiled you in the OP. I was like, these bitches gay, 2 episodes in.

So far the setup is typical dystopian - of the era YA dystopias are at the height of its popularity. I don't know by how much the manga predates 2011, but I guess not too far. I'm really hooked by ep3's imminent reveal of the city's secret, but I was able to stop the itch with the pv so I can watch 3 episodes in a row tonight.

wszyscy w klasie gadają ostatnio tylko o tym, że to już prawie koniec. nie o ocenach, nie o egzaminach — tylko o tym, że „zaraz stąd znikniemy”. a ja dzisiaj siedziałam na lekcji i patrzyłam na swoją ławkę, jakby pierwszy raz. ktoś wydrapał na niej serduszko, ktoś inny inicjały, i nagle pomyślałam, że już niedługo nie będę tu siedzieć. dziwne uczucie. nie smutne, nie wesołe, po prostu takie, które trochę zostaje w środku.

everyone in my class keeps talking about how school is almost over. not about grades, not about exams — just “we’re leaving soon”. and today i sat there staring at my desk like i’d never really looked at it before. someone carved a tiny heart into it, someone else their initials, and it suddenly hit me that i won’t be sitting here much longer. weird feeling. not sad, not happy, just something that stays inside for a bit.

dziś po prostu usiadłam na podłodze w pokoju i zaczęłam malować paznokcie. najpierw u rąk, potem u stóp. czarne. nie wiem czemu akurat ten kolor, po prostu tak wyszło. mama weszła w połowie, spojrzała na mnie jak na zagadkę, ale nic nie powiedziała, tylko zrobiła taki mały uśmiech. a ja patrzyłam na te paznokcie i miałam wrażenie, że wyglądam trochę inaczej, ale jeszcze nie wiem jak.

I didn't even know this was what Utusmi was up to after SK8 until I saw a magazine cover with the green pierce guy like, two days ago while I was stil in Japan. Although the tagline of 1001 nights x Deliquents didn't really captivate me, I quickly made a mental note.

First episode, hmm, interesting motive. A fine first episode. I did expect the show to be comedic and supernatural but it's almost not quite at the level I was ready ready to meet it at. The next few episodes were just not interesting to me despite understanding the character buildup. I debated giving up the show but I heard Matakara is gonna turn "evil" in ep7 so I pushed through. He's kinda cute. I really was expecting Marito to have a bigger role. Mahoro is suprisingly not a saintly character as the token girl. (sidenote: their names all start with "ma-" took me sometime to distinguish it all) I kinda agree that all the side characters are more interesting than the MC. I kinda get the story is about the MC standing up to what's really important and facing his fears. His "true wish" is fine as a gag but it should be dropped after episodes if like, the show is really targeting fujos. If you really cherry-pick, we have some nice pairings there. I'm really interested in Marito x Ota after guessing pairngs "wrong" seven times. With the 1001 Nights tagline I was expecting more superntural elements, as if they'd be fighting to Teppen(TM) with their Majin buddy pokemon style. And, the OP is good.

The ending saved it a bit. The obvious glow-up on Arajin during the final fight, man. Regardless, MAPPA can animate. The things happening on screen are fun, but I can't say I find the story interesting. Bucchigiri is proabaly one of those shows that's more fun chasing live and complaining with a bunch of friends.
