Raph - I gave him the Chevron (the V shaped black part) because it's mean to resemble the roof of a house and is traditionally a badge of honor awarded to someone who is "head of the clan/house". This is meant to showcase how Raph was originally the leader of the group, but also how he is the metaphorical house of their group. He provides safety and protection that the others look to and depend on. The sword is, or course, an emphasis on his readiness for battle and fighting. Bears are used in heraldry to symbolize "strength, endurance, and protection," plus you know, Raph is just a big ol' teddy bear anyway so it felt fitting. The three diamonds in the chevron represent each of his brothers.

Leo - He gets the bend (yellow slash in the middle) because it's associated with knighthood, defense, and high honor. The griffon (top right corner) has a few different meanings, but the main ones I picked for using it are because it represents "heroism, death defying bravery, and guardian of a great treasure." Dolphins (like the one in the bottom left) are associated with swiftness, diligence, and love. Which, of course, are very Leo trademarked things, too. I thought the dolphin would also be good to showcase his more playful & carefree side that we see in Rise. The three red moons in the bend represent each of his brothers.

Donnie - The Pile for Donnie (green triangle) is meant to represent some of his strengths such as courage, lineage, and evolution. Normally it's seen in families/clans who have a specialty in engineering skills or construction. I thought it would also be fitting because of the drill shape, which Donnie is well known for. The stag/deer is a symbol of peace, harmony, and wisdom. However, it ALSO means "one who will not attack unless provoked" which felt very on point for Donnie's character. The wheel, obviously, is more modern and ties in with his industrial intellegence and moving forward with ideas to better help others. The three rectangles in the pile represent each of his brothers.

Mikey - Saltire, baby!! (big X shape) While the saltire is generally associated with religious motifs, I picked it for Mikey because it can also be translated as someone who has great spiritual grace and energies, which he is shown to have with his elevated mystic powers. A phoenix rises from the ashes in the center to symbolize both Mikey's relation to fire, and his undying adversity in the face of obstacles. The bell also has some double meaning. First, as the symbol that calls the other and brings them together, like a rally cry. Second, the bell is mean to be holy and used to ward off evil spirits and negative energies. And that all felt very Mikey as well. Again, the three circles are each of his brothers.
