The Green Man (Part 5-End)
And so when they met again
he thanked her for her counsel
and for telling him her exciting life
The fairy told her his song
The song was a perfect piece.
and it was hard to cease.
but freedom is everywhere
but itâs just hard to see.
and how we are like small children
And how it was Providence
that he found at last a friend
said the Green Man Dorian.
finish breaking the fairyâs
there was no longer any guilt
in breaking the friendship
He listened to her and felt
But he couldnât speak and gave her
He felt that he was being
and out of the river wood
He didnât seem too scared
and there was no time now
for his own life to grieve.
and there was nothing he could do
The sorceress sang back to himÂ
was now mixed in with hers.
He wasnât careful and now
she was finally his master.
the Lord was waiting there.
a borderstone had been moved
he gave a bitter glare...
The Lord said to the Lady
âYou may stop, I want to speak
to the woodland fairy man
this magical, green freak...â
The Lord then said to Dorian
âI know youâre powerful
so give me all your magic
I think you will be grateful.
For my research has found
that this will make you free
and from this sylvan land
you will be free to leave.
because I will own the lands...
If you donât, my sorceress
will cast your sorry self out
because my high-born worthiness
âLong I have known, sir
that youâre rotten to the core
but I could find no one worthy
but of everyone Iâve seen
for Godâs greater glory
You both think youâve won
and left me with no choice
but I still have my voice.â
The Green Man screamed a scream
one long and stunning yell
From the darkest depths of Hell.
It shocked both pairs of ears
and the sorceress collasped
They stayed where they were
they were too scared to move
and their great cowardiceÂ
They got onto their knees
and begged him for his mercy.
And he showed it to them:
He turned them into trees.
He turned them into willow trees
right where they were at.
He told the people who said
they liked them there like that.
The land was was youâd call
and his ânephewâ took his seat
It took quite a bit of workÂ
but they saw that he was good
and so they moved the castleÂ
into the deep and wild wood.
Who ruled kindly and wise
His friend the priest then helpedÂ
to put his good friend in.
And he was known thereafter
as the Green Lord Dorian.
He was not completely perfect
but he was kind and just.
His dominion then prospered
âcause in God he placed his trust.
In time he met another girl
and he fell in love with her
this love was not like the first
for this love was much deeper.
and a professional singer
for she really was a bard
He split half of his magic
Julia loved him very much
for she knew he was brave.
and he lived out the restÂ
but he put upon his crest
of the Devilâs trickery
to dark needless cruelty.
All the devilâs worldly lies.
And of all his persons and works
of our Good Father aboveÂ
comes directly from His love.
Good bye, farewell, goodnight
