Hehehehehe I wanted to try something different so I made a prop sheet (is that what they’re called?) off Zari’s staff which she named Mona
Some lore
So like Mana basically means the same as it does in any other fantasy story it’s just the energy needed to cast spells and shit; more mana = more spells, higher quality mana = powerful spells
Anyways so in my pc universe everyone has mana but it’s like water in your system, if you constantly run you’ll sweat and get dehydrated
But there are very few people who are born with the ability to basically never run out of mana and so those people end up becoming magic practitioners since it pays well due to the rarity
That’s not Zari tho she was born without that ability but she is obsessed with magic and would do anything to be a witch even if it hurts herself which is why she has a staff, most magic practitioners uses staffs mainly for precision in casting spells but Zari uses it to attach special stones (their called mana stones in the art because I’m so shit at naming things) that emits mana to lower the risk of her getting sick when she uses magic
Some more lore
the ownership sygil needs to be written in the blood of the owner
The mana concealer sygil prevents other magic users from detecting Zari’s presence
The Dragon tail came from a dragon Zari’s party slain
The staff’s core is basically the beginning point of the staff; magic users must start with a wooden wand that’s 8 mm in diameter to properly be able to aim and harness their magic through it but Zari did not have a wooden stick 8mm in diameter so she used her pencil- the more magic that is casted through the wand, the more the wood on the wand expands and grows into a staff
Her first stone was a gift from a travelling preforming sorcerer
The stones emit a different amount of the mana depending on ten colour (Blue being the highest, then purple, green, orange, red, pink)
Sygils are abit of a lost art because they meed a lot of time and concentration to draw one correctly but Zari needs to use them to increase the power of the spells she casts
The quality of a person’s mana doesn’t really correlate to the amount a person has, the quality increases the more someone practices magic (that’s the same for the stones, the more you use a stone to cats magic the higher the quality of mana it produces)
That’s it
