Mac Issue

Sooooooo, I have no idea if anyone has an answer and I will go to a shop as soon as I can but I was wondering anyone would be able to help. I recently got a Xbox One controller for my MacBook. I even researched to make sure I got the right thing. I even researched the download “360 controller” from GitHub to make sure it wasn’t bad.

Everything seems to check out but when I restart the laptop it is stuck on the loading screen that comes up after the user name. The loading bar is at a little over halfway. I am totally freaking out cause it has been like this for hours and I have no idea what to do. Does anyone have ideas?

Guess who’s computer fell off the bed in the middle of the night cause apparently I fell asleep with it somewhere bad!!!!!!! YEAH ME.

The harddrive is a solid state and APPEARS to be fine (doing a backup rn as we speak) but the screen decided enough was enough. LUCKILY I still had my shitty drawing monitor or I would be sol for knowing what was up.

and now I get to ponder if fixing my computer at an off brand for $400-$500 is worth it or if I should just bite the bullet and get a new one like I was planning to after a few more convention earnings (I have enough saved up and would just funnel all my earnings into my savings if I bought it now)

lays down. Anyone have any opinions on the new macbook pros? Are retina’s still un-upgrade-able? Is their whole everything tied together still so you can’t replace one part without replacing every other damn thing attached to it?

would it be viable to buy a PC laptop and then just buy the Mac OS?

My computer is so ass 😭 I made a windows vm so I could play indigo park myself and it looks like a roblox game. Literally sobbing. It has to be on lowest quality or else it seizes immediately. I quite literally am playing on grandma mode, I have to get 5 inches from any poster in order for it to render and all the walls look like something on the gamecube. And it doesn’t help that rambley does show up but has a half-second delay so it gets freaky.
