Segunda fiz mais uma dose de um remédio chamado Benlysta. Venho tomando uma vez por mês e vem me fazendo bem. Antes eu tomava um quimioterápico chamado #Mabthera (usado para tratamento de linfoma non-Hodgkin), que me tirou da cadeira de rodas mas depois quase me matou por 2 vezes. O bom é que meu caso virou jurisprudência e varias pessoas foram beneficiadas com o direito de fazer #quimioterapia para tratar doenças #autoimunes. O #belimumabe é uma droga imunomoduladora, então ela não tenta destruir os #linfócitos, mas sim controlá-los. Ela sozinha não é suficente para controlar o lobo doido chamado #lúpus então preciso tomar #imunossupressores como cellcept (usado em transplantes de coração) e #corticóide todo dia para ajudar. Mesmo assim quase fiquei cega em maio e passei a usar um colírio #imunomodulador chamado restasis (#ciclosporina) pra garantir meus olhinhos lindos e funcionantes, afinal ainda tenho muito que ver neste mundo. Comecei o #Benlysta em março do ano passado, juntamente com o óleo de #CBD (derivado da #maconha) para controlar os efeitos colaterais, como enjoos. Nestes quase 2 anos, minha qualidade de vida melhorou, não dependo mais de apoio para caminhar e minha capacidade cognitiva melhorou e finalmente sinto que voltei a conseguir aprender coisas novas. E uma das coisas mais importantes é que parei de tremer. So... my mom might not get her treatment this time
My mom needs her Rituximab for her Arthritis, 25 years of it, and it seems the public hospital in Mexico is not going to give it to her!!
The doctor that prescribed this treatment for her years ago, since 2008 had troubles with his work and was fired from the Social Security network, so now, apparently, even if we made my mom’s transfer to the hospital where they have been giving her the treatment for the past 4 years, the authorities in the Hospital doesn’t recognize it, apparently the documents “didn’t make it” to the servers of the hospital!!.
Thing is the treatment’s cost outside the public hospital is of something close to 12,000 dollars!! We don’t have that !!
Now we are trying to get her the treatment this time, going to a central Hospital and with higher authorities,, until we do all the transfers to a different hospital in the next months, ‘cause the next appointment we could get her for the transfer was January 15th and she has to have her treatment next month.
Like a needed something else... really!! Why is that out life can’t remain problem free for more than one weekend??
I’m so tired. Really, one thing after the other, from silly things like my kindle keyboard, the new one I could buy in September breaking out, to my father having some serious allergy issues, to several issues at work, issues with our house, my parents fighting non-stop the past 3 weeks and now this!!!
I did had a lovely weekend, but yeah, it was over really soon.
