Pairing : Lucifer x vessel!Reader. Sam (briefly mentioned)
Word count : 1,356
Written for : @spnfluffbingo
Square : Intimacy
Warning : Luci reminds us that he isn’t the only angel who did something shitty. And that maybe it could have been better dealt with, instead of leaving him for dead. Luci deserves some love too, ya know. Maybe some intimacy will do him some good.

“What is this place?” he asked, after appearing in the doorway.
“My childhood home. Shouldn't you know that?”
“Didn't think you'd want me rooting around in your memories.”
“Since when does the devil care what people want?” you snapped.
“If that's how you feel..” he started towards the closest door. He could open doors and see hidden memories behind them, if he chose to. And he knew from watching you, here in your mind, that this door never opened. You never even went near it. Even though, right now, it was just a room.
“No!” you jumped up from where you sat. “Please. Not- not that one.” you side eyed the door and swallowed.
“Afraid I'll taint your precious memories?”
“Afraid you might make it worse. Please, leave that one hidden away where I left it. I- I can't go through that again.”
“Humans are so funny.” he turned away from the door and started towards you again. “You all find safety in the same places that hold bad memories. Childhood. Why?”
You shrugged. “Maybe things just don't seem as bad when you don't understand the full implications and consequences of it all.”
“And now?”
“I don't want to remember.” you looked away, ashamed. “Not those memories, and not the new ones you're making me live.”
“They aren't so bad.” he chuckled.
“Maybe not to you. Not compared to what you've done.”
“And what exactly have I done?” he snarled, stepping right up to you. “You know what I'm guilty of? Loving my father. If that makes me a horrible person, what does that make you?”
“Deserving of this.” you answered quietly.
“You know, I'm really not that bad.” he stepped back. “I'm a fun guy. And I follow the rules. Just not the new ones.” He smiled. “Maybe I'm an old testament kinda guy. Old, old testament. The first laws. Before all this biblical bullshit that man got twisted.” he waved a hand. “Ever stop and think that maybe, just maybe, I could be the victim here?”
“You're Lucifer…”
“Yeah? And? Michael ran around killing first born sons, people still love him. He's the biggest asshole I know.”
You thought about that for a moment.
“And Gabriel.” he scoffed. “Don't get me started on that little shit.” he rolled his eyes. “He's dipped into every religion there is, one way or another. He is Loki, with the Norse. He fucked Kali. He-”
“What?”
“Oh yeah.” he nodded. “But Gabriel is the ‘fun’ brother.” He scoffed again. “You know Rafael? So quick to throw you all to the wolves. Sacrifice you all so my brother and I can fight to the death. He was so sure God was dead and gone. Appointed himself leader and almost damned you all. I'm not complaining too much, it let me stretch my legs a bit, but how did I get the bad rep, huh? I gave you free will!”
“I-”
“You pray to them.” he was getting angrier as he ranted. “You worship them like they deserve it, like they care! Angels don't give a shit about you! Any of you! I hate you all, but I have a reason for my hatred! You aren't worthy of anything he created! So why the hell should I bow to you!?”
“I-”
“You're just a toy, a play thing. You're nothing.” he spat.
“And yet, you need us.” He stopped, for a moment, your words freezing him. “I'm nothing and yet you need me.”
“I don't need you.” he spat, turning and walking away.
“Then shall I cast you out? I'll reject you right now.” Lucifer ignored you, calling your bluff. “I, Y/n y/l/n, reje-”
Before you could finish, his hand was on your throat, his breath on your face. “I will destroy you on the inside before I'm out, and return with a new vessel to rip the rest of you apart cell by cell.” he threatened.
“Admit it.” you croaked out as his grip tightened. “You need us.”
“You're nothing but a warm body to me.” he spat. “I bet you've heard that before.” he grinned.
“From worse people than you.”
He laughed. “You said it yourself, there are no worse people than me.” he let go of your throat and shoved you away. “you can't have it both ways.”
You watched him angrily pace for a moment. “Lucifer?”
“What?” he snapped.
“Since you didn't have a childhood, where's your safe space?”
“I don't need one.” he growled.
“Don't you?” You stepped closer to him, moving slowly as if approaching a wounded animal. “Where do you go to escape your brothers? To escape humanity? Everything you hate? Where does the devil go to clear his mind and think?”
You reached out, your fingers brushing his cheek and everything shifted around you. Your memories and childhood home were gone.
“How did you do that?” he growled, angry.
“A cage?” you asked, your fingers slipping away from his cheek as you looked around. There were bars all around, even above, and a cold hard floor beneath you made of the same material.
“How did you do that?” he demanded, slamming you against the bars, hand on your throat again.
“You're in my head.” you reminded him. “I left myself open to you, and you dropped your guard. It's not a one way link.” He snarled at you and let you go. “What is this place?”
He ignored you, walking to a corner at the opposite end of the cage. “It's my cage.” he muttered quietly, coming to a stop. He stood face in the corner, forehead against the bars. “Where I spent most of my life. Where I was trapped, forgotten and left for dead.”
His body stiffened when you gently touched his back. You pulled your hand away as if burned, but then after a moment, reached out for him again. “Who put you in here?”
“My father. My brother. My vessel. My true vessel, before you. Samuel Winchester.” For a moment, a memory of a man appeared in the corner behind you, and you turned to glance at it before it faded away again.
“Handsome.” you admitted more to yourself than anything.
“Fun, too.” He chuckled softly. “Always trying to do good, trying to ignore the darkness in him. Just like you.”
“We all have light in us, too. Even you.”
He laughed, his shoulders shaking as he did, head going back with a sigh. “You're funny, kid.”
“Cast out for loving your father too much, that's what you said, right?” He barely turned his head, and remained silent. “Loyal to a fault. Loyalty is not darkness, Lucifer. Love is never darkness.” He looked back out through the bars. “You're capable of love, you're capable of loving again.”
“No one is worthy of my love.” he grumbled.
“Try.” you moved to his side to better see his face. “What have you got to lose?”
“Who could ever love me?” he shook his head.
“I could.” He turned now, and finally looked at you. “I could if you tried. With whatever time I have left, we could build a home in here.” You let the world around you shift again, and you found yourselves standing outside a quaint house, surrounded by land as far as the eye could see. “However you want it, you can have it. Add a beach, or a lake, or a neighborhood.” With each suggestion, your surroundings shifted to reflect it.
“Why?”
“You've never had intimacy before, have you?”
“I've had-”
“Not sex.” you chuckled. “It's so much more.” You cupped his face. “It's gentle touches, and quiet whispers. It's letting someone in, letting them know you. A future. A past. Shared moments, and love. Genuine love. Let me show you intimacy, Lucifer. Let me give the devil what no one else has offered to give.”
He gave you a small nod. “But I prefer the land. Open sky, and soft rolling fields.”
“As long as you are here, you will never feel caged in again.” You smiled as your surroundings shifted and settled. “Anything you want, my Luci. My home is your home.”

Did Mary see Cas' body? Before she fought Lucifer? We know that Mary consider cas one of her boys. I'm wondering if that pushed her over the edge when she decided to punch Satan in the face
