"Villette" 1970 version is one of known TV adaptations based on a same title of a novel written by Charlotte Brontë and it was produced by the British Broadcasting Corporation. It is said that all of its five episodes are currently lost and the only proof of existence are some of its photo stills available in BBC Archive.

I am reading Villette for the first time ever.
As of now I just have two opinions: Graham Bretton I was right to be crushing on you since chapter two; and Paul Emanuel is the most annoying little man ever, he truly embodies male pretentiousness at it's finest.
But having some experience with Charlotte Brontë chances are Lucy Snowe will not marry Graham Bretton, which saddens me because she truly shines with life when she talks to him, even if she indulges him too much. Ugh she probably will end with Professor Paul at this rate

Traumatic. Made me cry myself to sleep. I squalled in disbelief when I finished it.
This is completely different from Jane Eyre, I was gobsmacked. Charlotte beware I will come to Haworth and dig you out just to get even.
