referring to when i had a moment on this post i assume
path 1: pragmatism
path 2: if you really wanna read deeply into it, the horrific memory of a gun being used to kill a girl he clearly had some kind of attachment to (because in the beginning he isn't even clear who maria is, to the point of only knowing her name) could lead to him wanting to use guns as a sort of means of like. like taking control back you know
this is a bit too nuanced for me to fully be able to articulate because i have not experienced that sort of trauma and cannot talk for people who have BUT there ARE people who try to regain some semblance of control over (x) by using or experiencing it again on their own terms, and shadow as a . Personality. i would believe that even if he wouldn't ever admit it
path 3: this is really just a full aside where maria's death affected him greatly yeah, but the gun itself wasn't the issue for him ... in canon anyways, most of his memories of maria always end up coming back after someone or something reminds him of maria herself while he's generally fine fighting against or with people using guns as well and i can only assume it really means the weapon really didn't matter for him compared to the death itself ... the only time he really got reminded through a weapon wasn't even from a gun but from a mecha, and it could be argued he mostly remembered maria's death from the human inside talking and having maria with him in that moment since nothing had fired yet (one of the dark routes in shadow the hedgehog which is non-canon anyways but a look into how he'd act canonically in that sort of situation)
even faced at gunpoint by abraham in another route of shadow the hedgehog he was kinda like . he was shadow about it <3
path 4: pragmatism 2 (or i basically don't actually really have a path 4, it's just me saying again he might just find it efficient and if it does bother him, he's willing to put that aside)

I ended up just getting them for 200 storm seals each. I had a lot.
I’ve been saving up my seals for the emotes and uniforms. :< (I just hit First Storm Lieutenant)
But for new players who might not know, a good way to earn seals really fast is to exchange gear you don’t need with the quartermaster at your GC headquarters! You’ll rake in the dough that way, easy peasy. So it’s definitely a valid way to get glamour prisms too
