after the initial shock has died down (because it is so fucking different from ANYTHING kh has ever done before; wouldn't have thought it was KH until the fucking keyblades appeared) I like it BUT I am hesitant (which I'll explain later)
my thoughts in the details
Okay my first reaction is being unsure if I like the sci fi. HOWEVER. The later juxtaposition of the STARLIGHT KEYBLADES (not even something along the lines of Riku's new keyblade), their sparkly star particles with every strike, and the purple/pink jet packsโฆ.. I really really love those little details-- THAT is Kingdom Hearts to me.
the way the astronauts fell in the beginning definitely felt like Sora falling in KH1, especially the slightly out-of-sync feet landing.
their helmet designs ABSOLUTELY reminded me of terra's helmet.
actually a lot of this felt like the KH2FM secret ending; the choreography, the barrier shield. this feels like Birth by Sleepโข๏ธ 2
the Sora and Terra details also make me doubt its AI, like these are pretty deliberate (yet vague/abstract enough) I don't personally think AI would be able to capture it without being TOO on the nose. That being said!!!! I have been fooled by AI videos before!!!! Also the music was gorgeous, I hope its not AI because I loved the beginning piano ๐ญ
I LOVED one falling into the lap of the other?????? that reminds me of this post, and how Yozora gently touches Sora. As a wise man once said, IT'S ABOUT THE TENDERNESS. I think that's one of my fave parts of the clip tbh
The reason why I'm hesitant to still be excited for KH4 is because.... of the Quadratum reveal at the end (right???). It made me roll my eyeeesssss I hate this place. Why couldn't it have been gothic (or cycladic) Scala ad Caelum lmfao.
in terms of story.... are they dandelions ????? ones who also chose to "melt their hearts into a new one"? or are they the "dream personas" of themselves because their hearts fell asleep at the end of UX. I won't forget that one trailer that was like "if you can dream it, dive into it" or whatever. I don't even remember whats thats from.
