#lost hallow

Everything about this album is fantastic.

So, Hurl. Hurl owns a lemonade stand. More accurately, Henry’s the one who owns the lemonade stand, but Hurl is the face of the business. See, in Lost Hollow, it's bound to get a bit hot, and so everybody goes to the saloon for a drink. But the problem here is that makes the saloon crowded, and then it gets hot. So Henry, noticing this problem, engineers a solution: he builds an lemonade stand on the other side of the street. About 256 Lilians (don't worry, that's like the equivalent of 1 US Dollar) per glass, but if you pay a little extra and/or compliment Henry's hair, he'll spike it with a potion that adds extra-beneficial effects. It gets some traffic, but it's not enough for Henry. He wants a profit. Oh, and he also he wants to prevent the saloon from overheating, too (but that’s really just an afterthought). So what does he do? Over the next couple weeks, he has Hurl run around town at night as a sort of ad campaign, and part of that means sleeping with different guys during that time. During sex, Hurl feigns boredom (although he's really pretty OK with it) and afterwards suggests that if his sex partners swing by the lemonade stand, Henry can make them a potion that lets them have more satisfying sex. So naturally, by the end of the couple of weeks, Hurl has amassed a harem of men waiting for lemonade, each one paying no less than 300 Lilians for what they would soon dub “Henry’s Sex God Juice”. Needless to say, all parties involved are very satisfied. However, Aubrey, the manager of the saloon, is unhappy. Not only has the lemonade stand been taking away his customers, but what's more, Aubrey's boyfriend was one of the dudes Hurl managed to rope into this scheme.  And so, Aubrey has Mary build a ceiling fan in the saloon. Bye-bye hot customers, hello business, right? Wrong. Henry, prepared for this, heads to Rattlesnake Springs to get the help of Old Coot Willie. While Henry makes the lemonade, Old Coot Willie drives around like a delivery man. Instead of having to walk into town, Henry and Hurl's customers don't even have to leave their homes! And so, the great Drink War of Lost Hollow begins.

So it became an AU of mine, with a special cameo from Juno Sagina, Toffee's love interest from my Savior of Lovers AU! But this story is so closely inspired by the New Albion series, complete with Toffee escaping an asylum and hiding out with Juno until they decide to find the source of the call; it might as well be a crossover AU. So I call it the One Pace From Disgrace AU (New Albion fans would get the reference).
