Alex Takumi lived a normal life with his Older Sister Shinako. He excelled in school and enjoyed science so much that he was able to become the ultimate Chemist and earn an invite to Hope's Peak. Yukiyo has been his best friend since day 1. She's protected him and treated him like family. Life was good! Until everything wasn't.

His loving and supportive parents had gotten into a massive wreck and they didn't survive. He only just found out when news broke out about the situation outside. It didn't get much better inside as Monokuma showed up and started controlling the school. Alex didn't have too much worry even as Monokuma explained the New Killing School life, Yukiyo could fight and protect him if need be. He met some new people and he felt safe with Yuki by this side. This all changed not long after the first trial ended

One morning he knocked on the door of Yukis room. He got worried when she didn't answer. His face went pale at what he saw, his Best Friend and Protector was murdered. The scream that left his body shook the entire academy. He was mumble words of denial as he cried and hugged her lifeless body as the other students came to investigate his scream. Even as Shuichi and Mukuro did their own investigations, Alex refused to move. His best friend was killed and he felt like a part of him had died with her. Who was going to protect him now? Yuki tried to teach him to fight but he didn't quite get it. He couldn't find and he was in too much emotional distress to even fight. The Trial was solved swiftly and he had his justice but the damage had been done.

His happiness was completely shattered and he didn't beileve it could get any better. For the next several days, he never left his room. His bed soaked from all tears. He didn't eat, and he couldn't even sleep. He never saw a reason to since his best friend was gone. Shuichi and Mukuro noticed this despair quickly growing and took it upon themselves to be there for him, to give him a lap to lay on or a shoulder to cry on. They showed him he wasnt alone and he could trust other people. He would need this when Monokuma would show up again for the next motive, Secrets!

Alex's secret was one he didn't just wear on his face but one he wanted to forget. Monokuma revealed to everyone present in the gym that he was responsible for a chemical explosion during his first year of the academy! It resulted in the deaths of students and he lost an eye for it. Without Yukiyo there, he fell to his knees and screamed in defiant despair. Shuichi and Mukuro didnt leave his side, acting as his new guardians; his new family. Throughout the rest of the trials, he gained his confidence back and his happiness up until the end when he had to make a decision. Fake his death so he could investigate the last mystery in private or don't.

He chose the former option, taking a potion of his own creation that would temporarily stop his heart and make it seem like he was actually dead. He found out things he normally wouldn't have known and eventually went to the final trial after enough snooping around. It was an exhausting trial and it only got worse when Shuichi had sacrificed himself for the betterment of the remaining group Alex screamed and cried in disbelief but he couldn't do anything. In a matter of a week, he lost two best friend. He survived the Killing Game but in his heart, he lost....

As soon as the remaining Survivors left the school, a helicopter was waiting for them. The large emblem of Future Foundation was there to pick them up.
