Mark’s parents had a happy marriage and everything was going well. When he was born he was their joy, they supported and loved him, cherishing his first steps and his dream of becoming a cyclist when he first learned to ride the bike. His mom loved him dearly and always sang him lullabies, he begins to hum sing with her as years go by.

During freshman year, average highschool Mark was still getting used to a new school and his grades fell off slightly. But to his father seemed like foreshadowing to doomed failure leading to criticizing him and always questioning why if Mark doesn’t have anything to study for, Mark felt pressured to be successful as he begun to be more fidgety.

His mom took great care of him and supported him throughout, she did not like how her husband was being repressive all of a sudden and had a talk with him, it wasnt quite good but it wasnt bad either.

Mark developed long term stress making his grades even worse which made his dad more cold hearted. Mark was confused dearly how different his dad started to act while the arguments became more common.

Notions of how his parents were fine and happy before he was born flooded Mark’s brain, even during class- how each time he would go back and argument will sprout because of him.

Why Mark left:

One dinner night the argument stung deep. His dad threatened disownment, that Mark is not his son due to how he isn’t determined to be a successful man. In a fit of fight or flight Mark goes to his room locking it, began furiously yet melancholically emptying his backpack to prepare running away. He took the locket necklace gifted by his mother with him.

He still trusts that his dad is a good man, believing that if he returns with an achievement for them to be proud of everything will fall back to being happy- especially his mom. He felt guilty leaving her yet the notion it was for her own good helped him cope.

While he was running away he took a rest under a tree at a park. At that time Tox was walking about mindlessly as a way to brainstorm then took notice of Mark.
