Happy #mugshotmonday everybody! As many of you know, I have been struggling with coffee mugs. I just don't live to make them the way I do tea bowls. So last week I decided it was time to change that. I am applying the same ideas that make me so excited to make a Yumoni to my mugs. The first 5 were horrible failures, 6&7 were good (although the glaze failed, dagnabit) but this 8th one is just right. It looks like my mugs, but I actually enjoyed making it. I love this glaze! I use it often, but this is the first time I have used it on a tiny piece. With only an inch of glaze space, it is translucent. Slightly greener at the upper edge and purple as purple can be along the bottom.
