I’m so thrilled with how my Tress of the Emerald Sea cup came out! I did a photoshoot for it.

The future is a waiting cup—I love this line from a Maggie Smith poem @maggiesmithpoet. As a potter I am an optimist always looking into the future imagining the finished object, the shrinkage of the clay, the changes that come from the heat of the kiln. Hoping we can shape the future by shaping our cups, speaking our mind and holding our truths.

Big #mugshotmonday I have my methods of making mugs, but the way I attach the bottom to the walls, and shape the foot limits the height, which limits the amount the mug can hold. Limits annoy me. I am perfectly capable of handbuilding a 20 oz mug, it just requires a different method.
