Sometimes you need to step away from the resin studio and breathe in something bigger ✨. Last year I stood here at the Grand Canyon and honestly… no picture, no words, no filter can ever capture it.

Making progress on my first crochet project…
Things I’ve made this week.
Six bowl cosies in pairs from a basic online pattern. Orange and brown circles, blue and orange circles and a red and white leaf design. Apart from the red leaf fabric which I’ve had for ages, all the rest were from Aldi. Their craft stuff is worth looking at, in my opinion.
Roll down top thermally lined lunch bag for my daughter. Furnishing weight fabric, interfacing plus thermal and fabric lining. I don’t want to see thermal lining again after this. It is a slidey wee beastie. If used in a situation where you don’t see down all sides (so layering fabrics to create a single piece) I think it needs a layer of a light adhesive. Something low tack like 505. You can’t iron it or really pierce it (clips, not pins.) I had to extend the pattern slightly to accommodate a particular box set up, but that’s why I was making one in the first place. Materials cost me ….probably about £10-12 on that one plus my time. The outer fabric was a charity shop remnant too. Lucky find!
However the pattern for the lunch bag was really good and mostly easy to follow. I got it from Miss Freckles on that Etsy.
After helping a friend move on Saturday, my shoulders have said NO to knitting today so I’m doing some EPP instead! Finally out after hours of work and workshopping the name to my least angsty compromise. Three designs from the same gorgeous slab made with an ombre of the leftovers of a different project, made from a mistake and it turned out to be freaking lovely. A lesson in that I guess but more than anything a pretty wilty rose inspired collection for a wilty time of year. Every pair of earrings is made with an eco friendly ethos, so as much as possible, not a scrap is wasted, as well as trying to be sustainable it can create beautiful art too.
