The first thing we both thought of when we saw these delightful plants was "Dr. Suess!" 😂 These Dr. Suess Plants are actually known as cotton grass, and they appeared along the sides of the road as we got further north. The sun was setting as we crossed the Deception Pass Bridge onto Whidbey Island in Washington. Another one of those "we'd never have done that in our fifth wheel" moments as we were driving through Northern CA a few weeks ago after leaving Reno. Getting used to the smaller space is going well. There is a limit on what all you can have out at once on the limited counter space, and dishes can’t be left to pile up. I love the counter extension flap - makes a HUGE difference. We are in the final days before departure, and we have some exciting things being done to the @lancecamper truck camper! These folks from @trumacorp are helping us try something a bit different in the camper: installing a new Vario Heat furnace 🔥and the AquaGo water heater💦. We already know and love the Truma AquaGo from using it in our fifth wheel for over a year, and have heard amazing things about the Vario Heat - most specifically that not only is it efficient, but it is QUIET! Can you believe that this is a truck camper? I honestly forget sometimes. The Lance 1172 that we will be taking up north this summer is BIG! It has 2 slides, one out the dinette on the drivers side and one out the back where I’m sitting on the sofa. This means more floor space for the dogs to lay, more workspace for setting up our computers, mics, and hard drives for video editing, and some space to step away from the work to relax and enjoy the journey a little too! We are going to be living in this for 6+ months, downsizing from our 33ft fifth wheel, so this generous size is hopefully going to make the transition for us (and the pups) pretty easy!
