Fred can’t seem to take his eyes off you, and your best friend’s mischievous charm makes the sugary treat feel a lot more tempting than usual.

The snow crunched pleasantly under your boots as you walked down the cobbled street of Hogsmeade, the village buzzing with Hogwarts students in scarves and mittens. The sweet, buttery smell of fresh pastries from Madam Puddifoot’s drifted in the air, but Fred had only one destination in mind.

“Come on,” he grinned, tugging your hand as though you didn’t already know where he was headed. “Honeydukes is calling my name and yours, if I’m not mistaken.”

The warmth of the shop hit you instantly when you stepped inside, the scent of chocolate, peppermint, and sugar hanging thick in the air. Shelves towered with sweets of every color imaginable, some bubbling, some fizzing, some humming as though alive. Fred’s eyes practically sparkled as he darted down an aisle.

You trailed after him, laughing as he piled Sugar Quills, Chocolate Frogs, and Fizzing Whizzbees into a basket. But when your gaze landed on the jar of oversized rainbow lollipops by the counter, you couldn’t resist. You plucked one from the jar, unwrapped it, and popped it into your mouth.

Fred turned just in time to catch the sight of you, lips wrapped around the brightly colored candy, your cheeks puffed ever so slightly as you drew it back out. His grin froze for a moment before it curved into something sharper, more mischievous.

“Well, well,” he said, voice lower now, though still teasing. He stepped closer, leaning an elbow against the shelf beside you. “Didn’t know Honeydukes was offering free lessons in distraction today.”

You raised a brow, feigning innocence as you twirled the lollipop. “What are you on about, Weasley?”

He leaned closer still, eyes glinting. “That lollipop’s getting more attention than I am. And between the two of us, I’ve got better jokes, more charm, and dare I say a much more kissable face.”

You laughed, trying not to let the warmth rising in your cheeks show. But Fred wasn’t backing down. His gaze followed every lazy swirl of the candy as you popped it back into your mouth.

“Oh, come off it,” you said, though your tone betrayed your amusement. “It’s just a sweet.”

“Not just a sweet,” Fred countered, smirking. “Not when you’re eating it like that. You’re going to have the poor customers fainting in the aisles.”

Before you could protest, he plucked the lollipop from your fingers with a flourish and popped it into his own mouth. His eyes never left yours as he leaned back against the counter, smug as could be.

“Mmm,” he said after a thoughtful moment, letting the candy click against his teeth. “Yep. Definitely better when it’s yours.”

You gaped at him, scandalized and amused all at once. “Fred Weasley!”

“What?” He spread his arms, utterly unrepentant. “It’s a shame to waste good sweets and good opportunities.” He winked. “Besides, sharing is caring, isn’t it?”
