2.14.2017 | Backgrounds!!! Finally!!!
Look at them! There they are! All nice and tied down. This isnāt all of them, of course, but it is some of the most difficult ones, because they show entire spaces with lots of linear perspective. The three sketchy ones were REALLY intimidating because I had to make them consistent (also 3-point perspective, ouch), but it was a lot easier than I was expecting!
.....In case it wasnāt clear, I hate backgrounds and am not usually good at them.
Iām gonna add more detail to the interior shots once I render them (e.g. I wanna add some clutter piled against the walls, like Lacey cleared a space for this little party), and Iām obviously gonna tweak the colors in the exterior shot. A little digital processing, and theyāll actually maybe look kinda decent!
(Whatās that? All rough animation is due next week? Sssshhhhh.......)

you can see the dates on these, i remembered this nostalgia for likeā¦ a few days maybe??? i really loved the designs growing up, i think theyāre a good intro on how to make a bunch of costumes look unique but still like theyre part of a team

āPost Your Bad Artā #3 - Two Bronze Aquatic āSonas
āunfinished artā is more like it, but iāve said that already :P
on the left is a Zora-sona for BotW/TotK, since Sidon was my awakening into the beautiful world of monsterfuckers & i love the idea of a cephalopod Zora. since I have brown hair I imagine her scales (and whatever is on the squishy partsā¦ skin, i guess?) are a shiny metallic bronze
on the right is a princess-sona for Mermaid Melody, a magical girl anime I was fixated on in middle school ā which was still way older than the target demographic lol ā in which the girls are mermaid princesses of each of the ā7 seasā (actually oceans) and they fight by turning into magical girls with legs and singing J-Pop until their enemies run away. VERY shitty anime, but I love the music to this day and i think the designs are very appealing
i like to imagine a sort of sequel series in which there are minor princesses of smaller bodies of water all over the world, this one being Princess of the Mediterranean Sea. again, bronze/brown is her color scheme, though i think āChocolate Pearl Voiceā sounds cuter as a transformation call-out :3c
