Warrior Thoughts with Fatal (P.6)
(Part 1, Part 2, Part 3, Part 4, Part 5)
Lightcloud is the oldest cat in the clan and was a faithful queen and mother to all the cats of Shadowclan, but after an illness that swept through and nearly took her own life, she was never the same.  That same illness killed her daughter, Foxheart, and her mate as well and seemed to break something deep inside of her.  She rarely speaks now, even though she used to be fairly jovial and warm.
Brackenfoot was always fairly unassuming.  He was content to live an unaffected life as a warrior, and now as an elder he helps his less able denmates while remaining faithfully and deeply in love with his mate, Brightflower.  He takes joy in regaling the kits and apprentices with tales of his youth, when he and his group of friends would venture into the town and hunt before Bloodclan took control of the area.
Brightflower, stern and quiet, was given her name in irony by her older brother, Cedarstar, and is something she still makes snide remarks about to this day.  When asked by Raggedstar if she wants to change it, however, she refused. Probably because itâs the only thing she has left of her brother.  She cares about her kits, but sheâs a distant mother, mostly having kits for the benefit of her mate, Brackenfoot, who she loves above all else.
Raggedstar is proud, well-respected, and very openminded, but notably stubborn.  Once she sets her mind on something, nothing can change her course, not her brother nor her mate nor even her deputies.  After an illness devastated Shadowclanâs numbes, she welcomed in rogues and clan cats, more than Shadowclan has ever had before, to replenish their ranks and freshen their blood.  This eventually led to her adopting Brokenstar and raising him as her sonâwhich unfortunately ended her relationship with Yellowfang, who never wanted kits.
Yellowfang began life as a warrior, and a very good one at that. She made a name for herself as one of Shadowclanâs best and most brutal fighters, taking on and taking down other clansâ greatest warriors in battle and spearpointing Shadowclanâs climb into their golden age.  At what seemed to be the peak of her career as a warrior, however, she became a healer without warning nor explanation.  Many believe she was sent a sign by Starclan, as her mentor, Sagewhisker, died mere days after Yellowfang completed her training.
Scorchwind is the forgotten sibling between him and Raggedstar, but heâs long since grown out of his youthful jealousy and mellowed out into one of Raggedstarâs most trusted senior warriors.  Like Yellowfang, though, he opposed Brokenstarâs rise to deputyship and eventually leadership, and never felt anything good for his adopted nephew.  He nonetheless stayed quiet at the bid of his much meeker mate, Nutwhisker, even as Brokenstar took on his new name following his motherâs death and began to wreak havoc in Shadowclanâs ranks.  Though he wants to retire, Brokenstar has since forced the elders out of camp, forcing Scorchwind to stay and live or leave and starve.
Nightpelt is still surprisingly lively for his age and only joined the elderâs den at the prompting of his children, who were concerned about his persistent cough.  Heâs fiercely headstrong and unflappable, lacking the jumpiness of most Shadowclan cats and more than willing to take the lead when necessary.  Though he was offered to return to the warriorsâ den when the elders were evicted from the clan, he refused so that he could attempt to feed his denmates.
