TWO HEARTS TOGETHER
When the music played, she wondered where he was
All the other couples started their dance!
Her long, tedious wait made her bored
Tired and annoyed, she couldn't wait anymore.
She felt upset, when she saw everyone else,
The prom, the music, the joyous foot taps
It was so beautiful, so soulful, so wild,
But she was waiting in a corner,
Like a forgotten child!
Just then, a knock had opened the door
Disturbing the music and the dance floor,
There he was! With messy hair
And a pair of frozen, pale eyes!
With a bunch of roses and a card in hand
He greeted everyone with a long smile.
She was angry and didn't want to talk to him first,
But he kissed her palms and grabbed the centre,
Of the ballroom where everyone was engrossed in dance,
There they stood with their very own chance.
The dance ended after a little while
They went out, as she was happy again
He took her to a garden, and made her enjoy,
The bliss of the sun and the floral scent,
They chatted for hours and when the clock struck eight,
It was the garden swing sitting on which where their desperate eyes met!
All these years they wondered what love was,
Today, they were the ones in love!
A little closer their hats had come that day,
But not as close as how their hearts would be everyday.
And as time went by, their tenderness grew
They were admired and adored and sent hugs too
And the children wished that someday their soulmates would grow into these two!
