Leta ruined my marriage
Shattered Eagle: Fall of an Empire by @shattered-eagle
Oh could I ask for
▶️ for Sardon
▶️ for Lurona
Sardon: Future
“Does it hurt?”
“Nah.”
Sardon was wrapping kelp along his wrist and forearms. A habit he’s kept since the days of his youth. With the amount he used they provided some cushion when he dealt out blows in a fight, but they also served to cover up his scars.
A little zora child with striking black and white patterns watched curiously.
“When did you get those ones?” they pointed to a set of scars.
“These? A lizalfos got lucky and bit me while trying to escape. He didn’t get far though.”
“Aaaand what about those ones?”
“Your grandpa clocked me real good during a sparring session and I fell against a sharp rock.”
The child winced, and then eyed another.
“And that one?”
“Oh, those are my favorite. Tides, it was decades ago, but I was in a tournament and faced off with your Uncle Fjord!”
“Who won?”
Sardon didn’t say anything, he only smiled as he finished wrapping up. He flexed his fingers, and nodded when he was satisfied with how they felt.
“Da----d!”
“We’re gonna meet with your Uncle Cironus in a few days. And when he takes us to the Isles of Song maybe you can ask Fjord.”
The little zora grew shy all of a sudden. “But they’re so big an’ scary, what if he gets mad at me?”
“Hah, never. Just be polite about it. You can even ask your cousins to help out, okay?”
“Okay…”
“Now c’mon,” Sardon gently urged their child forward. “Let’s go find your mother.”

Lurona: Future
It was a lazy afternoon. The breeze was balmy and gently rustling the fronds on the palm trees. The sparkling blue waters lapped against the shoreline of Toronbo Beach, coming in and receding at a steady pace. Everything about this day was perfect, the kind that felt like it was ripe with possibilities.
Lurona didn’t think so.
Behind her, her two sisters counted the fish they caught moments earlier while she sat on a bolder close to the waters.
Lurona let out a miserable sigh.
“Cheer up, Lurona!” Leta called. “This is a good haul! I almost forgot what it was like to struggle when it came to food.”
Lurona didn’t say anything.
“Awww! Don’t pout, Lu!”
Before Leta could say anything else, Luna calmly gestured to her to be still. She left Leta to tally the rest of their hunt while she made her way to sit beside her younger sister.
“It’s hard when they’re all gone, aren’t they?”
Lurona remained silent but she did nod.
“I thought my heart was going to break when I saw Lune join the Turning. They didn’t come back to the pod for a month, but they were happy.”
“It’s different, Luna.” Lurona said, finally breaking her silence. “You still have Moonie, and your grandchildren. My children are all gone.”
The tears were already falling, and Lurona sniffed and rubbed her face with the back of her hand.
“I’m happy for them! Sardon and Sona are starting their lives together, Cironus knows who he is, Kaska has become a wonderful diplomat, Kaso has grown so big and wild, and I even know Lufina is alive and well.”
“But…” Luna added, knowing there was more.
“I miss them so much! I know they’ll come back, they always come back, but for now I’m lonely and sad and feeling sorry for myself…”
“For a while, maybe.” Luna smiled. She put an arm around her sister and drew her close. “Kaso’s enjoying his newfound freedom as a grown adult. News about that will travel fast.”
“Why should it? It’s not like he has a terrible reputation.”
Luna’s smile widened.
“I mean a certain Zorca will soon learn you’re a free woman, and he’s going to come and collect.”
Realization of Luna’s words dawned on Lurona’s face. All trace of her melancholy vanished and was replaced by a pink blush across her face.
Luna left Lurona alone to contemplate her words while she and Leta got back to work. Lurona knew she should go help them, but she remained on her boulder a little longer to scan the ocean’s horizon.
Now that she thought about it, maybe the day really was perfect.
Snake snake! Leta :)

Hi! I have a question for either the blog or your youtube channel, whichever you feel it fits more. I noticed on your website that you worship Lady Hera and Lady Leto as a combined goddess, and Lord Apollon and Lady Artemis not as divine twins. I would love to know more about this view but I haven't found any other resources about it. Does it come from ancient cult worship? I can see how they would be syncretised due to their similarities. I am inclined more to view them as equal spouses of Lord Zeus, rather than wife and mistress as the myths portray them, but having them combined as Lady Leta is super interesting and I'd love if you could share more if you're comfortable.
Khaire Anon,
Thank you for your question. For more about Lady Lêta, we would recommend you check out the Lady Lêta page on our website. There is actually a little historical precedent to this synchronization!
Regarding Lord Apollo and Lady Artemis - we actually got a somewhat similar question earlier, so we decided to create a blog post on our main website that explains the situation in detail. To the best of my knowledge, our reinterpretation of Apollo's birth myth and him being transgender is a purely modern interpretation. However, there is historical precedent for Apollo being worshipped as a singleton (non-twin) that we reference in the post!
If you have any follow up questions regarding any of this please let us know! We love discussing our unique Temple teachings and traditions.
Eirene - peace and farwell,
