HC that Squirrelflight got with Brambleclaw bc Brambleclaw looked like Leafpool, and it's more socially acceptable to date an abuser than it is to date your sister

It reminds me of the mario franchise where some fans like to write about Mario and Luigi having a soulmate type bond where they can feel each other's emotions as if their own, how they are each other's literal other half they could never or would ever want to live without, etc. And mind you I'm talking about people who simply adore them as having a sibling bond.

But again, even though I can appreciate these type of writings and interpretations as platonic familial love, part of me is still like this is borderline shippy material, I mean c'mon let's be real 🤭🤭🤭🤭🤭 (I'm also a mariocest shipper if you couldn't tell lol)

But anyways, this is why I am pleasantly surprised to see that in book canon two siblings were given this type of bond. It makes my shipcest heart so happy. I sure hope we get to see more of it as the series progresses!

SORRY The last post had a RLY big typo on the 2nd to last option and it was bothering me. But anyways. I'm always curious to see who ships what squilf ships.

First off, let me start off with the post I meant to make, but never did. Lol. I was so disappointed that we didn't get to actually see a scene of Firestar saying goodbye to Princess in the last book. Like how dare you guys do this to me 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 That's his sister who he had found and bonded with and you give me nothing. Not to mention not including a scene of Princess meeting Firestar's kits. Argggghhhhh.

With a scene not being included of them saying goodbye, I get it since the forest was being destroyed and with it being too dangerous to get close to where the humans live, not to mention Firestar had the responsibility to look after his starving clan; though I read in the wiki that they did say goodbye as well as Princess meeting Firestar's kits, but arggggh I would have liked to actually have read it in the book. My Fireprincess heart 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I'm sad they'll probably never see each other again 😭😭😭😭😭😭

Anyways, with that said back to Starlight. I just finished reading the part where it's the gathering every full moon. The first one since the four clans arrived to their new home. And just after Brambleclaw had that shared dream with Hawkfrost and Tigerstar which abanmwnqnwmkqkwk That scene was so exciting and all the omg.

So, the feels I'm having is how Brambleclaw wants to get to know his half sibling Hawkfrost. They seem to get along relatively well and Hawkfrost for sure is taking an interest in Brambleclaw. But ofc, we know that Squirrelflight has never liked Hawkfrost because of his obvious ambition and previous animosities. And me who does like Brambleclaw x Squirrelflight is just here like stahp the pain!! She just stated at the end of ch. 15 that both could never work out seeing as Brambleclaw insists on talking to and being friendly to Hawkfrost. And ofc, I'm having all the sibling feels too because I can understand Brambleclaw wanting to get to know his sibling. Like why does he have to choose between the cat he loves and his half brother 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 Why can't they all just be happy and get along 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭

Which also, I'm hoping Hawkfrost doesn't end up being the villain due to his ambitions, but I'm not holding my breath 😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 We need more positive portrayal of ambition, tbh. It's tiring to always see ambition potrayed as a bad thing in all sorts of different media every single time.

Which also, I'm liking Brambleclaw showing ambition in wanting to be deputy. Like, I think he definitely could be more patient and shouldn't be so willing to fight, BUT I have always liked the idea of him being deputy. Sure, hope Firestar isn't still holding Brambleclaw's heritage over him cause it sort of feels that way, but this is Firestar and he's fair. Well, I'll just have to see how everything plays out 😭

Oh, and about Brambleclaw and Hawkfrost. So, where are my shipcest shippers at 👀 I may like the idea of shipping them together. Bramblehawk anyone? 👀
