I know this is probably going to be a bit unexpected given my general trend on here but I file this one under: Don't ship it
Why don’t you ship it? I feel like Leafpool's types are big she-cats and scrawny toms, and Squirrelflight I tend to hc as being incredibly straight (maybe an exception or two for like, Daisy). So they're just not as compatible in my mind.
What would have made you like it? If they kept their psychic sibling link I think there'd be way more to explore here.
Despite not shipping it, do you have anything positive to say about it? They have a sweet relationship with a lot of untapped narrative potential, and I've seen some really cute SquirrelLeaf stuff out there!

I really like your BrambleHawk and BrambleFire posts and I think a lot about SquirrelLeaf (as in Leafpool/Squirrelflight) and I can't help but think of a Bramble/Hawk and Leaf/Squirrel double date and then Firestar comes late and is like: "Sorry I'm late, guys. I was making out with Graystripe" and Leafpool is just like: "DAD?!??!?!??!?!? Did I miss something????"
