Fever || Sept. 8th
The ride on the Lattice seemed both long, and all too quick at the same time. He didn’t know exactly how he was going to bring up the truth, but he knew he had to, he wanted to. No matter what, he needed to explain to Eve, if she would let him. He made his way to her home, arriving and taking a moment to gather up what was left of the courage he had. The last 24 to 48 hours had been a whirlwind. His body was hurting worse than it had before, and he was beginning to regret not having waited to fill his prescription of pain medication because the ibuprofen and Tylenol were doing precious little to dull the intensity of the pain he was having. He knew his face must look a mess, he hadn’t even looked under his clothes to see what the bruises on the rest of his body looked like. The busted spot on the back of his head felt the worst, and with the work that Matthias had done to close it, he knew it would be a while before it would be okay.
Finally, raising his hand, his knuckled rapped the door, and he waited to see if she would answer with his head bowed. The moment the door opened, however, his head lifted slowly to take in the sight of her. Memories of the last time he saw her flooded his mind, and he swallowed back the emotion. “Hey... can we talk?” He asked softly.

Look at you guys! You’re so sweet, oh my gosh. Was it nice being able to spend time with her?
Honestly, can’t help ya with that one ‘cause I went into my own anti-social hole for Stranger Things purposes. I’m probably just as terrible looking in the department.
@eve-boudreau
Thank you. I spend alot of time back home. Ive been going back more recently because my mom is my rock. She worries about me an unhealthy amount.
Ive never seen stranger things. Youre doing better with pop culture than me.
@eve-boudreau:
Need a gym buddy? I have noodle arms and would like to be able to look at someone and just, “Wanna meet thunder and lightning?” and just POW! Welcome to the gun show. Or just be healthy, I guess, but that’s not nearly as fun.
YES! Let’s do it! We can make ourselves so impressive, maybe we can make ourselves into a dynamic duo like superheroes! But lady superheroes! We can even come up with a power pose that makes everyone do a double take! And you know... the side-effect of our dynamic duo workout is... we’ll be healthy too. LET’S DO IT!
@eve-boudreau:
Oh, hop right on over the drama and get the heck outta there! As if flipping the bird these days means anything, it’s mostly a joke now. Now if you were punching some babies and throwing around some pretty dirty words, that’s when the drama should be acknowledged.
You make it seem very easy saying it like that. You would think it didn’t matter. It’s a good thing that I don’t condone punching babies. Thank you, though, for reminding me to smile in the middle of all of this.

Can I just pop in and say that it’s unfair that you’re absolutely stunning? Like c’mon, leave a little for us, please.
You are too lovely for this comment, thank you! I rather think everyone here got their fair share though, I’ve yet to see anyone remotely average looking. In fact it’s quite startling the general level of attractiveness running rampant on the hub.
@eve-boudreau
KILLER. I need some new boots, interested in some shopping?
Apple picking, definitely. I know it’s like, a dumb waste of money but I think it’s the cutest thing. And then I get pie out of it? The best.
With you? Any and every activity, always!
It’s not a dumb waste of money, it’s an experience! You drink cider slushies, you eat kettlecorn, you eat like 10 apples in the process of picking them, then get to make a pie and surprise your friends! It’s easily in the top 5 fall activities. Speaking of, when are we doing that too?!
@eve-boudreau:
Okay so, what I’d like to know is how long did it take you to even be remotely comfortable with getting off the ground and doing that? I get to the first branch of a tree and then I’m panicking.
Do you know that I’ve never really worried about being high off the ground? I think it has to do with the fact that I used to do gymnastics when I was younger and that basically erased all sense of fear. I think it’s exciting, and beautiful, I love doing trapeze so much I never think about the danger applied to it.
