My friend Mike wore the shirt before I first heard them on the radio (Q104.3), so he was ahead of the curve and everyone else. Our circle would never imagine that they'd ignite an entire genre in nu-metal and the next-gen- rock bands: Linkin Park, Staind, Slipknot, System Of A Down, Evanescence, Static-X...and also talentless juvenile trash such as (spit) Limp Bizkit. We didn't think how special Korn would be, other than they were another new band we got down to. Damn, their debut was fresh. (The opener's intro- to "Blind" was fucking cold, man: "Rrrrrrrr yoooouuuu reeeaaadyyy?!")
Years later, my then-g.f. Yenny became big on Korn and drew me back into them. We ended up having to drive all the way upstate to not only see them, but also headliners Linkin Park as part of the Projekt Revolution Tour. Good move, Yenny.
